  1. Episkopos

    Conjecture

You have misunderstood. The bible is not a religious book that is given to us to puff up the outer man. No one knows what will happen on judgment day. Judge nothing before the time. (that is in the bible BTW) :)
  2. Episkopos

    Conjecture

This fits in nicely into my other recent thread entitled "The Wonders of the Kingdom of God." :) How could Peter perceive how marvelous His light is without seeing it?
  3. Episkopos

    Conjecture

I never said that the bible is conjecture. That is more your way of using it! ;) An actual reading of what I wrote would reveal that conjecture is what we do regarding our own personal destiny in eternity. Making the bible to be the truth is to misunderstand the bible...to use it improperly. By...

    Conjecture

Speculation (and conjecture) in our time has not just replaced faith, but also humility and the fear of the Lord. We don't have to have an opinion on everything after all. We will be judged by our words....how glibly we spoke about things we don't understand. How we took the Lord's name in vain...
  5. Episkopos

    Conjecture

It is the opinion of others about a testimony of the person with a real encounter from God. How did Moses know he was encountering God in the burning bush experience? How did Stephen know he wasn't hallucinating when he was allowed to see into the 3rd heaven? Speculation about an encounter...
  6. Episkopos

    Conjecture

Jesus bids us seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Now they who have entered (been translated) into the kingdom of God know this as a "prepared in advance" walk in the spiritual realm in Zion. A place of victory over sin, the devil, and the world. This will appear as speculative...
  7. Episkopos

    Conjecture

That is until we encounter the living God. His presence eliminates all conjectures. The NT is based on this visitation and inspection (episkopay) ....and empowerment (grace) ...from God. All else is opinion and speculation.
  8. Episkopos

    Conjecture

Only in an upside down conjectural world....is what I'm saying pure conjecture. But that is because you are unable to reason due to a religious indoctrination that replaces any kind of spiritual reasoning. A human interpretation takes away the possibility of an actual understanding of God. That...
  9. Episkopos

    Conjecture

You can't make a law out of grace....since living from the heart does not produce laundry lists.
  10. Episkopos

    Conjecture

Opinion? The bible states that salvation ultimately is based on obedience. Whatever opinion you may entertain that goes contrary to that...well is your opinion. No one is going to be judged by their beliefs. Just their works that are of obedience to God's will...whether they realize they are...

    Beheaded

The head of every man is Christ. They who step away from their own controls allow themselves to be "be-headed" from their own lordship over their lives in order that Jesus would sit on the throne of their hearts and minds.
  12. Episkopos

    Conjecture

No such revelation is required since we have already been told how things turn out. But how many people are paying attention? Imagine going into a building (knowing that it is about to collapse) to warn people to get out while there is still time...saying..."half of you will leave this building...
  13. Episkopos

    Conjecture

    Too short of what?
  14. Episkopos

    Conjecture

Now before this modern age of conjecture...as hard as that is to imagine in our time...God would work through His ministers...His servants, stewards...His sent ones. A visit from a steward of the mysteries of God was basically the same as being visited and inspected by God Himself. And people...

The Wonders of the kingdom of God.

Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: We only see visions when the Spirit is poured out on us...
  16. Episkopos

    Conjecture

Since the bible itself cannot give an honest person any real idea of one's own true condition, God must have another way of helping us to ascertain what we are lacking...or if we are going astray. So then God also gives us spiritual guidance...by the Holy Spirit...that we might know who we are...
  17. Episkopos

    Conjecture

Now any honest person who owns a bible and believes in God knows that any kind of opinion as to what God will decide about us personally is strictly based on conjecture. I say an honest person. There are a lot of indoctrinated people out there. And a lot of dishonesty. con·jec·ture...
  18. Episkopos

The Wonders of the kingdom of God.

The truth should call us to question our certainties. As in....Lord...is it I? If someone asks...well, am I even saved? ...the problem is not with the truth. The truth is meant to challenge us. What we have seen on this thread is the flesh trying to overturn the truth because it is doing what...
  19. Episkopos

The Wonders of the kingdom of God.

How many believe that if you are born again...that's it...you're in! As if being born again was an end rather than a beginning. Of course if one is born again that one will not see death. What is in question is the quality of that salvation. There is a salvation to honour. And there is a...

The Wonders of the kingdom of God.

Like when people say Lord, Lord? That's a religious posture. Name it and claim it. You read it therefore you imagine it for yourself. An indoctrination mantra...that has no basis in truth or reality. But people will believe fables over truth if that makes them feel good. People take the verses...
