Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

Hi Farouk, We had lunch all together and then the friend stayed all evening. Here's what she said about the tattoo: She said she doesn't like tattoos, not on men or women. Not small tattoos or big tattoos or many tattoos. Her father died back in December 2021. About 3 months later, she was...

1 John 3:9 - Is it cannot "practice" sin, or cannot "commit" sin?

Hi GH What is a fake sin? Thanks.

1 John 3:9 - Is it cannot "practice" sin, or cannot "commit" sin?

OK. I know John was worried about gnosticism coming into the church, because it already existed before he died. So you're saying it's the GNOSTICS that claimed to never have sinned? (they did worse than that). Agreed about 1 John 2:26 So far so good. I don't know why you keep mentioned those...

1 John 3:9 - Is it cannot "practice" sin, or cannot "commit" sin?

Yes sir. Jesus did do that. And I'd rather read what you write than some that write we can sin and still be saved. But what I asked had a different purpose. The purpose was to bring up the question of whether or not we have the ABILITY to never sin again. By sin I don't mean the practice of sin...

1 John 3:9 - Is it cannot "practice" sin, or cannot "commit" sin?

I don't know what one thing has to do with another. Jesus helped person both physically and spiritually. I do believe we're to do the same. If you're writing regarding judging, then all I'll say is that we can judge a person, but we cannot judge their soul or spiritual state. In a more secular...

1 John 3:9 - Is it cannot "practice" sin, or cannot "commit" sin?

It is a problem in Christianity that some feel they can make such statements. I don't know where this idea comes from...but it is NOT biblical. I didn't read all of the above, but my belief is that any such statement can damage the walk of a person. Charles Stanley believes the above. He says...

1 John 3:9 - Is it cannot "practice" sin, or cannot "commit" sin?

Hi Lambano, I love your heart as well. You know, God gave to each of us a measure of faith. This means that He gave us enough faith to do what He called us to do. It could be anything. It could be doing your job well, or being a good mother or father. Anything. The man from your church (maybe...

1 John 3:9 - Is it cannot "practice" sin, or cannot "commit" sin?

Instead your heart SHOULD BE for addicts per se. Because they are under the influence of satan and for this we should feel sorry for persons that don't even know this. Jesus felt sorrow for sinners.

1 John 3:9 - Is it cannot "practice" sin, or cannot "commit" sin?

If I decide that I will NOT sin anymore, does that mean I will not?

1 John 3:9 - Is it cannot "practice" sin, or cannot "commit" sin?

This is wonderful and something that should be experienced by every believer, at some point or another. My feeling as to the above is that when we start out we could have two experiences: 1. Our sin nature is immediately put under subjegation -- I use the word dominance. Same thing. 2. This...

1 John 3:9 - Is it cannot "practice" sin, or cannot "commit" sin?

I don't think there can be a 3rd choice either...the other member seems to think so. (which is why I asked). Do you believe it's possible for a person to never sin? I've been coming across this idea lately - not too much, but some feel they never sin.

What's the weather like where you are?

There's something weird going on with the weather. I live in Italy, in Tuscay, which is central Italy. Except for the early morning and late evening, it's as hot as June. The weather here is temperate because I live in a valley, but this borders on scary.

Poll: Tattoo artist: if a Christian daughter/son of yours worked as one, would you be supportive?

Wow. How could you remember this? I totally forgot. Anyway, she's coming over with her mom and brother so they couldn't make it in July. They'll be here on November 5th. If you write on about the 10, I'll let you know what she said. It'll have to do with her father's death, pretty sure...

21st Century Christianity - A brief manifesto for our age.

We've already gone through the president thing 2ndRate. I had picked no. 3 I told you you were a bit tricky about this choice since each choice should be spoken of separately and should not be a choice. Each choice could be morally objective or subjective. I forget how we ended up.

21st Century Christianity - A brief manifesto for our age.

I've never thought it's very radical. In Christianity we're taught different theology in different denominations, and wow, if you wander off into your own line of thinking. I'm a firm believer that we've put God into a box that is entirely too small for Him. But you're going to have a tough time...
