Self analysis of your Christian witness

Okay, I have lost track of that question...if you wouldn't mine restating it.

Self analysis of your Christian witness

I believe our discussion has not so much been about the parables, but rather that the parables seem to support your idea of the world and its timeline also being relevant to God, as if He has gone from being timeless to make time His new realm...or something like that.

Is there a simple message of the Bible?

Ah...I might have to adjust my comment then, to say: That all should come to the knowledge of Christ. History is His story.

Is there a simple message of the Bible?

The bible begins with man and ends with the Son of man being married to all who love Him, and no consolation. History is His story.

Self analysis of your Christian witness

Perhaps it would be better to consider a different parable, such as Jesus being referred to as the Lamb of God. Would you do the same with this parable, and conclude that God is a sheep? Or, would you rather consider that it really has nothing to do with sheep...as I have been trying to impress...

Self analysis of your Christian witness

If you quote this, how is it that you do not acknowledge the difference between the two, but seem to suggest an evolving of that which is finite to be more like God, and even God to be more like the world?

Self analysis of your Christian witness

That was all based on the analogy of the parable which was a worldly example, not representative of the greater timeless truth of God. In other words, it is out of context as a precedence, if one wants to go beyond the typical understanding otherwise limited to the world. So, we should either...

    THE CHANGE OF THE GOSPEL

Certainly there is a difference. But I would have to say that the "gospel" is of Christ, and includes both: "first to the Jew, and then to the gentile." These are as different as the flesh and the spirit...for each has their own children: the lineage of the first Adam, and the lineage of the...

To church or not to church

Amen! I sure hope there are preachers and pastors reading this.

Self analysis of your Christian witness

Oh, I see. Yes, a different rich man. I was referring to the one who Jesus told to sell all he had and give it to the poor and then follow Him, but could not. In the case of the other rich guy...it is a parable, not a declaration of a purgatory or an interactive world such as it may seem. But...

Self analysis of your Christian witness

No, "today" is "that day." Nonetheless, if one is not convinced that "today" is "that day", then that day will come when they know not. But, again, we are mixing the timeline of the world with the eternal and timeless truth, to even have such a conversation. What must come first, is an...

Self analysis of your Christian witness

There is only an "if" for those who do not [yet] know the end. And the other 3?

Self analysis of your Christian witness

No, no, I was answering your question about what you believe, and simply did not want to misquote what you have already said about it. As for, fostering better works...one is more likely to do good works knowing the truth, than one in doubt or one following a lie. Like the rich man, if he took...

Self analysis of your Christian witness

Yes, according to a host of witnesses, and to me by God Himself. If I have a model at all, it is not a model, but the truth from God. And if I have painted a picture saying "the kingdom of heaven is like..."...so did Christ.

Self analysis of your Christian witness

In a manner of speaking, yes. Because it is the presentation of evidence for the judgement.

Self analysis of your Christian witness

So far, so good, then. But, Christ, who said, "follow Me", did not then go about living a peaceful and enlightened life in the world. No, rather, when the time came (His time), He rose, and entered His rest, saying also that "the world will see Me no more." So, it is one thing to embrace all...

    Perfection

I am not familiar with the word, nor who coined it or why, and had to look it up. But I do know that God has made it clear that the law of sin and death pertains to the flesh (the offspring of the first Adam), and that God is spirit and perfect. Also, that with Christ (the Last Adam, a...

    Perfection

"Human" perfection is really a contradiction in terms. In our humanity, we are best understood to be flesh, a fallen race under curses which manifest in the flesh. This is our captivity. But God, whom is perfect, is also spirit. So, to answer the question of what it looks like... It looks like...

Can anybody really tell what time it is?

The marriage is a parable. Christ is not singular either, except that He is One with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Likewise, we who are in Christ are also all One, as they are One. So, if one can grasp the Oneness of the Three, then there is more...as many as the stars and the sand upon the...
