    Peter Was Never The Rock

Wow - that's huge. Of all your ramblings about Peter...a big, bold "I" for Christ. Terrific. You just can't help yourself: Peter this, Peter that, Peter, Peter, Peter. And now a lie claiming Peter is the only apostle who received a new name.

    Rapture Debate.

Indeed. And all of this is a mere narrative of what "is", like the lines of a book that is written...not space as considered, not time as experienced, nor matter as it would appear. History, is His story.

    Rapture Debate.

The kingdom of heaven is within.

    Rapture Debate.

Indeed. But do you know that it is not above, but within, and that these events are not future, but now, each one in his own order?

    Peter Was Never The Rock

Still no mention of the Father regarding the building of the church (just Peter). Keep digging that hole.

    Rapture Debate.

Good point. Most consider the "rapture" as the time we exit this world, and for all practical purposes, it is. Except that perception does not account for the time many enter into the kingdom during our lifetime on earth - these are "the living who remain" spoken of by the apostle Paul.

    Peter Was Never The Rock

I'm not that old. It started for me the first time I read the scriptures about 30 years ago. Jesus DID say Peter was the rock. But that is not all he said. Perhaps this will help: Put Peter in one hand and the spirit of the Father in the other, and you decide what part of what Jesus said is...

    Peter Was Never The Rock

If the title of the tread were actually "stupid" as you say, there would be no reason for debate. For that matter, there would be no reason for protest or Protestants. But you, nor the Catholic church, can just read the facts of the scriptures away...and call it stupid. It doesn't change...

    Peter Was Never The Rock

You are off topic... The whole point is not what Peter was, but what he never was. Do you even know what Peter never was?

    Peter Was Never The Rock

Correction: I went in an infinite number of directions. And in the face of the Infinite, you still single out Peter as being the greater proclamation of Christ. While I did not deny that Jesus blessed Peter and established him in an earthly commission, you seem all too willing to belittle the...

    Rapture Debate.

The key point, is that in the other [eternal] side of the equation...there is no time, or timeline wherein we pop in at different times, or even together - everything just "is." That is defined by God, in the words: "I am."

Peter's cool - but what about revelations from our Father in Heaven?

Apparently the Catholic a Protestant rift centers on "who" Jesus was referring to when he declared how he would build his church. But why take sides? In the passages below Jesus referred to "Peter", "Himself", and his "Father in heaven." Matthew 16:13-20 13 When Jesus came to the region of...

    Peter Was Never The Rock

No...the discussion is about Peter not being the rock. But I am not saying he is not...I am saying that is only the smaller part of what Jesus eluded to. And that is the problem - you are making it ALL about Peter. Again with the anti-catholic hate group accusations. Stop it! I told you - I...

Where did God come from? - The answer to a frequent question

Indeed. When I first came to know God, I did not believe, but took a chance in my disbelief. To my surprise, He answered, at which point, I had no reason to "believe" there is a God...I knew it (as a fact) straight away.

    Peter Was Never The Rock

Oh...don't get me wrong. I am not trying to convince you of anything more than the complete word from Christ on the matter. If you and the Catholic church want to select just the message as it pertains to Peter - you have your calling. But there is more, infinitely more...regarding the spirit...

    Rapture Debate.

Yes...and yet, this is the misunderstanding: That because it says "together", it is presumed together from this worldly side of the equation, cancelling out (contradicting) what Paul said about "each coming in his own order." How can both statements be true? Because both are indeed true, the...

    Peter Was Never The Rock

Apparently you do not understand the context or the full directive of this verse: there are qualifying points, cautions, and "don'ts." "7 Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct. 8 Jesus Christ is the...

    Rapture Debate.

Sorry to repeat myself: This is such a crazy topic... The scriptures clearly state that there is no grand group resurrection, but rather the coming of "each one in his own order." Yet, being such creatures and prisoners of time, we have a need to fit the scriptures into some ridiculous...

    Peter Was Never The Rock

The commission was NOT to rule "supreme" - it was to "feed" and "make disciples of all nations." Woe to you who have taken this upon yourselves. :(
