Paul’s very clear warning about today’s #1 disastrous doctrine

You quoted the Scripture that says there is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. No! Christians do not go running around under condemnation for their sin or even feeling condemned. Christians should be waiting on the Lord asking for mercy because they have been convicted...

Paul’s very clear warning about today’s #1 disastrous doctrine

Why this Scripture? "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" 1John 1:9 I think the OP alluded to a heretical teaching that has become popular in the church today that we refer to as "Hypergrace". Jesus died on the...

    Belief Systems or JESUS?

Wrangling over doctrine is hurtful to the message of the gospel. It is a poor witness and some of us are guilty of it. There is a fine line however because Jesus and Paul came down hard on the false teachers in our midst. Essential truths being perverted is simply that the bible is a myth.

Pope Calls For Global Political Leader

I wonder who that "political authority" could be. Hmmm!

Pope Calls For Global Political Leader

"Francis also called for a new global political authority tasked with “tackling … the reduction of pollution and the development of poor countries and regions”. His appeal echoed that of his predecessor, pope Benedict XVI, who in a 2009 encyclical proposed a kind of super-UN to deal with the...

    ...so thankful Lord God

How amazing. I too am looking for a "God moment". Just know it is coming. Property on the market and leaving this here city for a new life elsewhere. I pray God will show Himself strong for your friend. He never fails to come through, even though we are left biting our nails. How He blesses...

    Belief Systems or JESUS?

They invented Seeker Friendly, Programmatic, Entertainment, Pap preaching and I said to myself, "enough is enough". Seeking counsel of the Lord and other Christians , I shook the dust off my feet four months ago. It is not easy because it is socially stigmatising in Christian circles. The...

    An End to Protestantism?????????

drunk in the spirit maybe. :D A reminder of what Protestantism is about (from wiki) The Catholic Church through ecumenism seeks to stamp this out. The irony of it is that the Protestants are cooperating in it because they generally have become bereft of any historical teaching on it and mainly...

    An End to Protestantism?????????

Apologies! Palmer is not a Priest but a Prot. Obviously a renounced one. Actually this whole thing is a Christian conversation, so I'm not sure where you are coming from. You have a right to speak of course but you really have no true credibility other than an outside observer.

    An End to Protestantism?????????

After thinking long and hard about this I guess I have it sussed to my satisfaction. I was quite offended that a Catholic Priest would claim that we are now living in a Post Protestant era. When I was born 79 years ago a girl was born in the house next door to me. We were born on the same day...

    An End to Protestantism?????????

http://www.kennethcopelandministries.org/2013/03/historic-change/ I have heard that we live in a post Christian era and can see the reasoning for it but this Priest is taking a swipe at the Reformation wouldn't you say? Or has Protestantism died?

Is believing in the trinity necessary to be a christian?

Right, JB! My sentence was really long and it even confused me when I re read it. I have been thinking about this quite a lot and I don't think many of us understood that Jesus is God when we were first saved. My thinking is that we accepted it by faith and the revelation of its' truth...

Is believing in the trinity necessary to be a christian?

I understand what you are saying ...but....I do not believe that Jesus is God, the Holy Spirit is God is simply a theological belief, it is truth. It took me years before it was revealed to me so I know that we are not endowed with the fullness of knowledge as soon as we are born again. In order...

Is believing in the trinity necessary to be a christian?

My experience also. But once we are saved shouldn't we know who it is we worship? We can't express our love for Jesus if He is not God. I think Trinitarianism must be more than theology, it is a truth revealed to Believers so that we may know Him and who he is. :)

    Heresy

Alanforchrist I don't know why you are saying that in terms of the quote. I must be missing something, could you elaborate please. :)
