I agree that these are some real problems - but the solution goes beyond what we can do and WHO we can turn to. And that's Jesus.

There is REJOICING in heaven for sinners who repent (Luke 15:7) - but God never saved us so we could just continue in sin. And individualism is indeed a sin:

I hope everyone here is trying to follow Jesus' great commands of loving God with everything we have and loving our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-39). When we do this, we have no place for being individualistic in our own lives:

Studying the Bible and spending time in prayer and with other believers who are really seeking our Lord has helped me to realize this. It's not an easy realization, but God's calling to holiness is not one we are meant to go through alone.
