A dream

    Hello everyone. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on a little mystery I have. A friend of mine was telling me about a dream he and his family had a long time ago. He dreamed he was walking down a park path and there was this old man at the end sitting on a bench. When we got to him, he looked at the old man and knew he was evil. He had empty dark eyes. And just when the old man was going to speak, he woke up. We talked more and he told me that his brother was having the exact same dream. And his little sister was playing with an imaginary friend who was old and wore a hat. The scariest part was when he was playing a video game and some of his other sister's friends were over messing around with a Ouija board. He wasn't paying attention to the thing but the other girls asked it if it knew a boy that one of them liked. The thing responded no but knew Dustin. They asked how did it know Dustin. It responded I visited his room. Dustin had another scary run in earlier on. He was laying on his bed and saw someone standing in his door way leaning in looking at him and laughing kinda sinister like. As soon as he sat up the door slammed. Back to the other story now, Dustin was thoroughly convinced something was going on. He asked the board now what it's name was. It responded yoyoyoyoyoyoyo and just kept going back and forth to y and o. Now my question is, does anyone know of a dream like this that anyone else had or know of a demon called yoyo? I've researched everywhere but can't find any thing. Dustin told me he had found some info a long time ago after it happened in people's blogs but it scared him. Sorry if I may have rambled a bit. I trying to work and figure this out as well. Let me know if anyone has any idea about this. Thanks a bunch.

    From what you share marcusk...Your story really does read like it's from Satan. And I clearly can see that it is. Don't even trust one thing that you can clearly see in the flesh eyes. God alone knows what is true and false...But we can and should examine the fruits whether they are of God or not. (Matthew 7:16-20)The Quija Board is quite Satanic from what I read in people's experience on that written on the internet. This is a warning.Deuteronomy 12:10-13 - There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.

    Bottom line-don't mess with occult-ouija boards, horoscopes whatever. Life is hard enough on it's own. Without inviting evil spirits in to make it worse. From your post, I'm unsure what happen in the past vs is happening now. But the way to handle it is the same.So are these folks Christians? If so, I'd tell them to pitch the ouija board (or burn it is better.) And verbally repent (yes out loud) of asking evil spirits to be part of their lives. At one point in time, the confession of faith included the phrase-"I reject the devil & all his works." I think most churches have done away with this. But I think it is a very sensible & practical statement. You don't need to know the name of an evil spirit to have authority over it. The authority is already granted us as agents of Christ. Any conversation with demons is it be avoided. You don't chat with them, you kick them out.You don't mention their ages, but if these are children living with their parents, then have them go their parents for help. When dealing with spiritual issues it helps to use the existing lines of authority. Parents have authority over their children. Getting the parents to pray & renounce this demonic influence (on behalf of their children) adds another layer of protection.One of the reasons I think this is so appealing to the unaware, is the idea of "secret, hidden knowledge." My response is why should I seek out spirits to give me advice or teaching; when I can go the Father of glory? And if God chooses not to tell me about something, maybe that is because I don't need to know. Or am not at the point where the knowledge would be helpful. Or maybe He wants me to search out the answer from the Word. Regardless, evil spirits are real. And to be avoided.

    another thing i forgot to mention was his mother was putting his younger sister to bed one night. she felt someone grab her shoulder and turned around but no one was there. she grabbed her daughter ran into the hallway and saw someone with a hat running down the hall and turned the corner. she got out of the house and called police. his mother had a bruise on her should as if someone grabbed her. one bruise on her back shoulder blade and three bruises on her front shoulder. the family is christian and as far as i know they burned the board game or threw it out. what blows me away is the dream he had and his brother having the exact same. they had their church come bless the house but some things still kept occuring. the decided to move and picked knoxville by random. i don't think it was a random choice though b/c dustin obviously has an important purpose from god and knowing my background it wasn't any coincidence we met. satan is obviously trying to get him but he hasn't had anything happen since then. i wish i could find out more info about demon yoyo or the old man in the hat.

    I totally agree with Nova - do not mess with the occult.If you do you are opening a door for evil to step into your life.Do you know the nature of these spirits - No!I know people who have done this and experienced some scary stuff - do not mess with what you cannot understand.:naughty:

    Which is a pointless & potentially harmfully endeavor. Whatever you focus on spiritually, you cause to come toward your life. Which is part of the reason Paul said in Philippians 4:88Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.So back to Dustin & his family. If they, as Christians, opened a door to evil spirits, they need to close it. If Dustin lives away from home, I'd say have him go to his pastor. Use the lines of authority to help confront the problem. But it needs to be confronted or he will have longterm problems. And even if he does renounce it, he may have to take a firm stand against it. In other words, expect to be tempted in this area for a certain period of time.

    You do not need to know the name - Evil spirits will seek to confound and confuse you in anything they say. Therefore the yoyoy......... is just a way of toying and confounding.Forget it! - no longer give it space in your life - and seek proper spiritual guidance!

    Sounds like poltergeist activity, specifically, the "hat man". You mentioned young people involved which is who they usually hang around. In many cases, moving away does not help as the spirit will follow.My personal opinion is that aliens, shadow people, (including the hat man), poltergeists, and even regular ghosts are demonic activity as I do not believe that disembodied human spirits wonder around.It's best not to give them attention, as they will try to get attention if you ignore them, and read, study and practice the Word of God. My jury is out on exorcisms yet, but I guess that the basis for that belief is that the evil spirits are rebuked and dismissed by the Word of the Lord. In that instance, I don't see why any child of God (a true Christian) cannot do that by the Word of His power (as opposed to say, a priest).

    I think Tim is spot on here!Especially the forms of manifestation: Evil spirits will seek to confound and confuse by representing themselves in a form that is contemporary to society at this time (aliens, poltergeists etc) It is all confusing bull***!Exorcism by priest is not necessary. If you have a strong and confident belief in the power of God and Jesus you can expell them by yourself.If you feel strong enough in your belief - do this (expel them)If not, seek a strong believer to support you in this expulsion - not a bull***r.This may seem like a bad experience but your success(in expelling the evil) - with the power of Christ, will affirm and confirm the power of God!Go on, do it, kick the devil up the ***!

I totally agree with my knowledgeable brothers in the above postings that suggested strongly that the family vocally repent from the use of the Demon-Board. Once used, a conduit, and an open invitation has been offered to Satan. May i add that it is important that the family,not just the children, search their house for other talismans (wall-hangings, statues, masks, foreign objects of worship, etc,; yes! even images of Christian worship that are 'revered' as contact points that place them in a 'spiritual mind set'. :study:Note Deuteronomy 7:25-26 The images of their gods you are to burn in the fire. Do not covet the silver and gold on them, and do not take it for yourselves, or you will be ensnared by it, for it is detestable to the Lord your God. Still offering the original (unknown to us) conduit of evil influences into our Holy living.     Sort of. When I was very young, I used to see, as plain as day, the "green boy" in my bedroom at night which was just a green silhouette wearing a hat. He was shorter than the traditional black "hat man", but the behavior of this little green boy was the same: he just stood there as if watching me. Later on just prior to my teens, I developed anxieties until I found the Lord a little later. Looking back, I often wonder if this was not some sort of demonic oppression.
