Yes, that is the worst that can happen...the gift of life is given and if its not lived in accord with the Creator's instructions, it will be taken away. Not complicated at all really.
Why would God need to keep the wicked alive only to torture them for all eternity? That is not the God Jesus showed us.

These are the Bible's views....JW's just happen to teach them....which is why I chose to become one of them.
The truth is more important to me that conforming to false teachings that are held by the masses.
Jesus proved that God is not interested in what the majority think.....he wants quality, not quantity.
@Aunty Jane said “Jesus proved that God is not interested in what the majority think.....he wants quality, not quantity.” 2Pe 3:9 - The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

LOL...I love the way you just skip over the obvious as if its not even there....

Jehovah is not "slow" about fulfilling his promises, ("slack" is a terrible translation) there is no way for God to be "slack" about anything.
.....but he is exercising his patience with the human race, "not willing that any should "PERISH" but that all should come to repentance." It is his will of heart that all would repent and live....he does not desire to destroy anyone.....and yet he knows that mankind in general will not repent.....abuse of free will leads to disobedience, and will mean an horrendous loss of life at the end of these days.

Read the Revelation and see how many will actually survive this world's end....Jehovah's Day in coming....
Rev 14:18-20.....
"And he called out with a loud voice to the one who had the sharp sickle, saying: “Put your sharp sickle in and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for its grapes have become ripe.” 19 The angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and he hurled it into the great winepress of God’s anger. 20 The winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress as high up as the bridles of the horses for a distance of 1,600 stadia." (or almost 200 hundred miles)

Is that a graphic enough picture for you? Its not about what God wants....free will means that this is what God will get.....which is why he values quality over quantity. Those whom he saves through these dreadful times will have proven their loyalty to him under very trying circumstances....even to their death.

So, do you see what 2 Pet 3:9 is actually saying in its place in the narrative?
It fits in with John 3:16....
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone that believes in him might not perish but have everlasting life."
God's will is that all will exercise faith in his son so he can save them....but he knows that the majority will choose not to for a variety of reasons......but all the wrong ones.
He is sending the rescue crew but the majority are going to reject his provision for salvation....expecting a very different outcome.

Signs, labels, tattooed with "CHRISTIAN" from head to toe does NOT make one a part of God, nor my brother nor sister !

We must be "IN CHRIST" to be a part of the vine & children of God, crying abba Father.

Today is the day of salvation, have you examined yourself to check where you stand in the Spirit with God?

Serious question for all witnesses to answer.

Some facts first.

1. You all in parroting the Watchtower teaching say anyone who celebrates the holidays are worshiping idols or false gods.

2. You write and speak that having a christmas tree= idolatry or even buying gifts at Christmas is a sin. Same with thanksgiving and Valentines day and birthdays. That somehow people are honoring false gods by even acknowledging these as legitimate.

So why do you call teh days of the week the same names as everyone else do? By calling MOnday , Tuesday etc. you are calling the days in honor of the p[agan gods that each of these days were dedicated to!

The Jews and early Christians did not call the days after names of pagan gods. They were the first day of the week, etc.etc. The seven day week was not officialized until the fourth century in the empire and their names also. they were named to honor gods .

so why are you so hypocritical and condemn people who celebrate Christmas to honor the birth of Jesus, but feel it is perfectly okay to name trhe name of pagan gods in honoring the days of teh week?
Jehovah's witnesses can't do anything about the days of the week and how the world calls each day. Jehovah's witnesses don't have the power to change how each day of the week is to be called. We can however choose not to observe a birthday, or any other day imperfect men say we are to observe. Christmas, Easter and any other holiday that imperfect men say we are to observe have nothing to do with the Christian walk. These days do have that which belongs to demons attached to them, why? Christmas has wizardry and magic attached to the day, and Easter has fertility emblems so fertility gods associated with it. Today just like the Jews who believed it was ok to attach what belongs to demons to he True God and his truth, so many today think it's ok too. But the True God and demons have nothing in common, which means demons and God don't have the same interests, beliefs, attitudes, or opinions. The true God is about love so about truth and being united, demons are about hate, so about lies, and instead of uniting people they divide people.

People can think they're honoring Jesus by observing a day that has wizardry and magic associated with it but they're not. Jesus would never associated with a day that condones wizardry and magic, which is associated with demons. Same with Easter people can think Jesus would honor fertility gods all they want, but Jesus would never honor false gods or anything associated with false gods. When you honor things that have to do with false gods then you're honoring what belongs to demons. People think that if they stick Jesus name to it that makes it ok, but it doesn't. The true God has never approved of the Jews taking what belonged to demons and associating it with the true God or his true worship.

JW,s dont say your #1--We say you are being mislead to partake off the table of demons by the pagan false god worship practices added into those holidays.
A real life false god involved in valentines day= cupid--Remember the #1 commandment?
The saturnalia festival( pagan false god worship celebration) on or around Dec 25th-Was changed into christmas--In that festival-the exchanging of gifts and feasting marked the celebration-To the SUN God. Santa who steals 98% of the holiday unscrambled spells-Satan.
Easter-- The dyed eggs of Pasch, and rabbit marked the Chaldean rites of spring festival - To the false god-Beltis, the queen of the heavens, also called Astarte( silent t) and on the Assyrian monuments-Ishtar( silent h), pronounced eastar--So they named that holiday after a false god.
Satan is the god of this world( 2 Cor 4:4--he misleads like this-2Cor 11:12-15) using love, sharing, whatever it takes.

Once again every day belongs to god! Nothing is unclean in and of itself. It is what value each individual places on it that makes it unclean. a candy bar is no more unclean on January first as it is on October 31st!

Once again I remind you of what Yahweh declared concerning days!

Romans 14

King James Version

14 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

1 Corinthians 10:27-30

King James Version

27 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
28 But if any man say unto you, this is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:
29 Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience?
30 For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?

1 Corinthians 8

King James Version

8 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.
2 And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.
3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him.
4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
8 But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.
10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;

You fearfully abstain for fear of being polluted by idolatry. but the Bible makes it clear all these belong to the Lord! If one celebrates with all teh trappings, who do you think you are to judge the servant of Christ?????? If you wish not to partake- fine- but do not dare judge those who celebrate to honor god! then you add sin to yourself !!!!!!!!!!!!

Same things just a different wording!

I just answered Barney above. Read the passages from Gods Word and stop trying to discern peoples inner motives and thoughts which is sin.

Nothing on this earth can defile a man. celebrating Christmas to honor the birth of Jesus is perfectly alright according to Romans 14. Stop judging people lest you be judged.

I'm not going to care more about days that have nothing to do with the Christian walk, nothing to do with gaining eternal life, over human beings that Jesus Christ died for. I know that these days mean nothing when it comes to the Christian walk neither do they have anything to do about gaining eternal life. So I can discard them and care more about human beings that Jesus Christ sacrificed his life for. I think it's silly for me to care so much about a day or days that have nothing to do with the Christian walk or gaining eternal life, that if I observed them I stand the chance of hurting another human beings conscience. That human being that I would have hurt is a human being that Jesus Christ has sacrificed his life for. I'm not going to care about a day or days that have nothing to do with the Christian walk or gaining eternal life than a fellow human being that Jesus has died for.

The Christian walk is all about people walking in clean conscious befre teh Lord. So if one chooses to showe their love in a sepcial way on Valentines day- as long as they are not worshipping Eros or Cupid, it is fine despite what teh Watchtower has indoctrinated you think.

Romans 14 is the key. And if you don't care, then why is it you who is making such a big fuss on these threads about whether or not people honor Jesus on Christmas or not?"???? Your writing betrays your statement.

I never said a tree did those things. It was a false god worship celebration, to the sun God. turned into the son, birthday celebration. Along with it some of the practices. Jesus was not born in December. There are no birthday celebrations by true followers in the bible only by the wicked. Santa=satan. Parents LIE to their own children about a santa and associate that lie with Jesus.

Alas with a mind set on justification, no one will ever be able to tell you anything you don't want to hear...

"Do not associate with unbelievers. For what basis can there be for a partnership between righteousness and lawlessness? What do light and darkness have in common? 15 Can Christ ever be in accord with Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16 Can there be an agreement between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God, and for this we have God’s word:

“I will live in them and walk among them.
I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
17 Therefore, come out from their midst
and separate yourselves from them,
says the Lord.
Do not touch anything unclean,
and I will welcome you.
18 I will be a father to you,
and you shall be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty.”

2 Cor 6:14-18....is clear as crystal to one who is not trying to pretend that you can blend "righteousness and lawlessness"...."light with darkness"....or "Christ with the devil"....

What part of "do not touch", do you not understand? Does this command remind you of someone else who couldn't do as she was told?
If something is spiritually "unclean" (meaning from pagan sources) then it has no place in a Christian's life. God tells us to "separate" from those "unclean" things, not joyfully jump into bed with them.

Now you are adding things that are irrelevant to those who celebrate the birth of Jesus! All days are sacred to the Lord. JOb celebrated His sons and daughters birthdays, and Jews celebrated certain birthdays of their children.

If someone worships Saturn or Bacchanalia, I agree with you 100% but God is the God of all 365 days of the year (and 366 on leap year).

Trees and decorations and lights and presents are not evil of themselves. It is the intent of the heart just like Jesus said!

And as Paul said:

You are so indoctrinated on looking at teh external while God absolutely tells us it is the motive and intent that matters in things like this!

So you are saying the following then:

Trees in a home in December are inherently evil of themselves.

December 25th is a day of evil and does not belong to the Lord.

Decorations in and on a home in December are inherently evil.

To you then you are saying the evil is found in the things or the day and not teh intent and purpose of the things being done. Jesus says the opposite.

If a person worships Bacchus or Saturnalia with a tree, or Santa or the materialism of the times in America- I agree with you. but if a family rejoices and celebrates the birth of Christ--God HImself through Paul said it is okay and what you are doing is sin.

You are guilty of judging others that belong to teh Lord! (though you don't believe any bible believing Christian does)
What part of "do not touch", do you not understand? Does this command remind you of someone else who couldn't do as she was told?
If something is spiritually "unclean" (meaning from pagan sources) then it has no place in a Christian's life. God tells us to "separate" from those "unclean" things, not joyfully jump into bed with them.
So once again this is your sentiment:

Pine trees are in and of themselves inherently evil

Ornaments and lights in and outside of a home in December are in and of themselves inherently evil

Giving gifts on December 25th is in and of itself inherently evil

Worshipping God and celebrating the birth of Jesus on Dec. 25th is in and of itself inherently evil.

Having festivities on Dec. 25th is in and of itself inherently evil.

So let me see, should I follow the dictates of Aunty Jane and the other witnesses on this forum or follow the words of God:

Matthew 15:10-19

King James Version

10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

Trees and lights and ornaments and gifts and festivities are neither good nor evil in and of themselves. Irt is what we dedicate them to that makes them good or evil

If someone regards a celebration unto the Lord- there is noe vil in it. All 365 days belong to teh Lord and if we regard a Chrsitmas celebration in honor of the Lord- it is perfectly fine.

Stop being so shallow and judging people and things from only the externals. To God it is the heart that matters.

Romans 14

King James Version

14 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.

You are so indoctrinated on looking at teh external while God absolutely tells us it is the motive and intent that matters in things like this!
Show me where it mentions birthdays in Job, or the Israelites.

Show me where it mentions birthdays in Job, or the Israelites.

Job 1:4

King James Version

4 And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.

Most rabbis and Hebrew Scholars recognize this as on their birthdays.

And Jews kept track of births in order to know when to have bar or bat mitzvah. It doesn't specifically say they celebrated every year but neither does it say they didn't. Now show where God prohibits celebrating ones birthday or the anniversary of their birth.

No birthday mentioned--You assume--not a wise thing to do concerning the bible.
Who deserves the celebration? The created or the creator? The created promote-self when the creator deserves 100% of the credit.
Rabbis and Hebrew scholars remain apostocised until this very day--you put your trust into them?

Can you tell me why everything that Christendom celebrates is pagan in origin? Is there no other time in the whole year to celebrate something that doesn't have pagan origin? Why not choose the day to celebrate Jesus that doesn't mirror the customs of the original occasion with just a change of the name? God was there when the pagans were celebrating the original occasion to honor their false gods.

If you can read 2 Cor 6:14-18 and still not get the message, that you cannot MIX true religion with false religion, then what I said at the beginning of my last response to you is true.
You will justify something God hates, just to continue doing what you love.....I understand completely. Jesus does too, but not in the way you think.
Stop being so shallow and judging people and things from only the externals. To God it is the heart that matters.
We are not to judge individuals.....that is the role of Jesus Christ....but we must judge the correctness of our beliefs and actions because once you know the truth of a matter, and you ignore it, you cannot claim ignorance anymore.

The heart is treacherous and cannot be trusted, so we have been warned not to let it justify things that will lead us into sin. (Jer 17:9-10)
