"Do not associate with unbelievers. For what basis can there be for a partnership between righteousness and lawlessness? What do light and darkness have in common? 15 Can Christ ever be in accord with Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16 Can there be an agreement between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God, and for this we have God’s word:
So you are saying the following then:
Trees in a home in December are inherently evil of themselves.
December 25th is a day of evil and does not belong to the Lord.
Decorations in and on a home in December are inherently evil.
To you then you are saying the evil is found in the things or the day and not teh intent and purpose of the things being done. Jesus says the opposite.
If a person worships Bacchus or Saturnalia with a tree, or Santa or the materialism of the times in America- I agree with you. but if a family rejoices and celebrates the birth of Christ--God HImself through Paul said it is okay and what you are doing is sin.
Romans 14
King James Version
14 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
You are guilty of judging others that belong to teh Lord! (though you don't believe any bible believing Christian does)
What part of "do not touch", do you not understand? Does this command remind you of someone else who couldn't do as she was told?
If something is spiritually "unclean" (meaning from pagan sources) then it has no place in a Christian's life. God tells us to "separate" from those "unclean" things, not joyfully jump into bed with them.
So once again this is your sentiment:
Pine trees are in and of themselves inherently evil
Ornaments and lights in and outside of a home in December are in and of themselves inherently evil
Giving gifts on December 25th is in and of itself inherently evil
Worshipping God and celebrating the birth of Jesus on Dec. 25th is in and of itself inherently evil.
Having festivities on Dec. 25th is in and of itself inherently evil.
So let me see, should I follow the dictates of Aunty Jane and the other witnesses on this forum or follow the words of God:
Matthew 15:10-19
King James Version
10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
Trees and lights and ornaments and gifts and festivities are neither good nor evil in and of themselves. Irt is what we dedicate them to that makes them good or evil

If someone regards a celebration unto the Lord- there is noe vil in it. All 365 days belong to teh Lord and if we regard a Chrsitmas celebration in honor of the Lord- it is perfectly fine.
Stop being so shallow and judging people and things from only the externals. To God it is the heart that matters.
