In my post #195, I should have also explained that I view the thousand years as the actual Sabbath, which is why Jesus is called the Lord of the Sabbath.
The only way into that Sabbath is through Christ.
Read those verses in KJV version, God made all food clean except to him that esteemeth is unclean.
*
And Peter did NOT eat unclean meat. The vision was to let Peter know that he should not call any MAN unclean, not to let Peter know that it was ok to eat 'unclean' foods.
At what point was it concluded that God said it is now ok to eat unclean foods? The vision was not about God's dietary laws.
Now let's read what Paul had to say about God's laws;
Well, yes it does. THE LAW was made "obsolete"Does that sound like Paul is saying ALL of God's laws have been nailed to the cross? God's laws themselves do not justify, but keeping them will.....that is if you believe what the bible says.
For some reason, there are those that think it takes only ONE thing for salvation and that is completely wrong.
How about when you tell your son you must kill him if he converts to another religion according to THE LAW?Please tell me....how is it a curse when I tell my son he must, not lie, steal, kill, covet, fornicate, obey his parents, keep God's 7th day sabbath, do not worship idols, do not have respect of persons, do not get drunk, do not extort......
[/size][/font][font="tahoma][size="2"]Eccl.12:13, on 06 February 2011 - 08:52 AM, said:
And the law that God gave was not changed. Those that continue to break God's laws WILL receive punishment.
Jesus just said that WE are not to do the punishing. He said that will be His job when He returns......
[font="tahoma][size="2"] [/size][/font]You just contradicted yourself again. Has it changed or not?
Deuteronomy 13:6-9 (NKJV)
[sup]6 [/sup]"If your brother, the son of your mother, your son or your daughter, the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, secretly entices you, saying, 'Let us go and serve other gods,' which you have not known, neither you nor your fathers, [sup]7 [/sup]of the gods of the people which are all around you, near to you or far off from you, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth, [sup]8 [/sup]you shall not consent to him or listen to him, nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him or conceal him; [sup]9 [/sup]but YOU SHALL SURELY KILL HIM; YOUR HAND SHALL BE FIRST AGAINST HIM TO PUT HIM TO DEATH, and afterward the hand of all the people.
You are obviously unwilling to see anything but your own way.
You ignore questions but want answers. Here ya go.
"How can Paul say, 'Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.", and at the same time say we are not under the law"?
I have given the forum mine.
What say you?
Please give an explanation for the following....
"How can Paul say flee fornication AND also mean that fornication has been nailed to the cross?"
"How can Paul tell others he did not know that to covet was wrong and that he learned this from the laws in the OT, then turn around and tell those same listeners that they are not bound to keep the commandment of, "not to covet"?
"How can Paul say, 'Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.", and at the same time say we are not under the law"?

Ok.....here is your chance. Please explain the following;
If you have a sound explanation for the above I am willing to hear it.
.
See If you can get your head around this. Is Pauls answer to your question. Manly from verse 13
Romans 7
Sin’s Advantage in the Law
[sup]7[/sup] What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”[sup][
[/sup]For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.
So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.
Sins advantage in the Law and, Law Cannot Save from Sin
Only someone standing on un Biblical principles would think the Scriptures aren't sufficient.Once again....you have only quoted scriptures.
Eccl,
Are you ever going to answer Ducky's post? He's asked it twice and I've re-quoted it once, I've asked you the same question two times in another thread, this is going to make it the sixth time you're asked...
Has the it changed or not?
What Paul is telling these Galatians is that, trying to keep the law of circumcision will not clear you of sin; Christ has already done that. But Paul is NOT saying that you do not have to be circumcised. Does any verse above say that a person does NOT have to be circumcised? I know it may seem that it says that, but it does not.
You guys sure are stuck on circumcision. I have answered the question. It is obvious you are not satisfied with my answer, but I already told you, it will not change.
It wasn't me who said I was gonna be circumcised.Since you guys are so into circumcision, here is something for you to consider.
Actually that was written to those under THE LAW of Moses. Christians are not.If you will read in Ezekiel, from the 40 chapter to the end it speaks NOTHING but Christ kingdom here on earth. Now let's read a verse from it....
Ezek.44
[9] Thus saith the Lord GOD; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.
Again....this speaks of a future time here on earth. The one that is revealing this vision to Ezekiel is none other that the Lord.
I say you're in the wrong Covenant. The New says:Now we know for a fact that ALL nation WILL have to come to worship the Lord in Jerusalem....
"And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles."
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it."
But at the same time God's word says the following, "...No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary..."
Now how will those that have not gone under the knife be able to obey God's law!
Oh yes! It will be a law that MUST be obeyed!
What say ye?
So, Eccl, are you living in a damned state until you are circumcised? When do you plan on being circumcised?But Paul is NOT saying that you do not have to be circumcised. Does any verse above say that a person does NOT have to be circumcised? I know it may seem that it says that, but it does not.
I will be circumcised to keep God's "other" covenat and law; the law that requires ALL males to be circumcsied;
Actually that was written to those under THE LAW of Moses. Christians are not.
