Rev 9:3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
Rev 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
Everyone on earth not sealed with Gods truth in their foreheads/minds
will be subject to this torment ...
Rev 9:5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment [was] as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
Rev 9:6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
Looking at these verse's in a spiritual sense notice the Locusts can only torment
this word for torment is only used in Rev.
1) to torture, a testing by the touchstone, which is a black siliceous stone used to test the purity of gold or silver by the colour of the streak produced on it by rubbing it with either metal
2) torment, torture
a) the act of tormenting
b.the state or condition of those tormented
Whatever this testing or torment will be it seems to Not be able to spiritually kill anyone
And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
The only ones NOT able to be tested and tormented are those sealed with Gods truth.
I was contemplating what this means ...
When the fake christ comes with his locust army he will turn everything, all men think they know about any faith or God, or religion on its head.
Amos 8:12 ......will be in full effect.
8:12And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find [it].
Everyone alive not sealed will be tormented with these lies and twisting of the truth. God is using this 5 months to make every soul alive question what they belive... because everyone will soon have to chose whom they will follow.
Imagine being an atheist and suddenly you have a supernatural being performing miracles, bringing fire down from heaven ( Rev 13:13)
saying he is christ. You are suddenly forced to re-examine all you had previously denied. Milk toast Christians following false religious teachings will be confused as they did not learn what the word said but what men said.
This is a time of great delusion on all men of all faiths or no faith.
Everything they thought they knew will be tested and they will be tormented in spirit. Fear will be a part of this torment ( 1Jo 4:18 ) for only those clothed in knowledge and love for God can avoid the fear of this torment.
Rev 9:10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power [was] to hurt men five months.
For five months they will sting all men with their lies and talk of peace and safety, and twisting of God truth to disturb all men minds to point of wanting to die out of confusion just as happened to Job God is not the author of confusion.
Psa 71:1 In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.
Rev 9:12 One woe is past; [and], behold, there come two woes more hereafter
Between the 5th and 6th trump things will change
A.C. /Satan and his locusts no longer can just torment the souls of men. They can kill them. Whats changed here ?
The abomination of Desolation has taken place.
Satan is now declaring he is god.
Its now all must chose which christ/god you will follow.
Choosing wrong here will kill you ..not physically remember we are talking spiritually in this study, it will kill your soul
Rev 9:15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
How do they slay this 1/3 of mankind with three plagues
Rev 9:17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses [were] as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone
Notice the fire, smoke, and brimstone, comes out of their mouths.
Rev 9:18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
Rev 9:19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails [were] like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
Notice now their tails are like serpents, this should remind you of the serpent in the garden and how he decieved Eve ..
No longer are they like scorpions tails who can just sting
and torment ... Now they can kill as serpents. Their words/lies an your decisions can cause your soul to die, if you believe and follow them,
take the Mark of the beast.
Rev 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
Rev 9:21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
These last two verse's here would indicate that purpose for these plagues are to bring men to repentance
