What do you believe happened the day He breathed on the disciples, and told them "receive the Holy Spirit." ? I can assure you they did receive Him, and u hey were born again. That founded the church. His corporate Body.
They went to Jerusalem to wait for it....

Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence....

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth....

Future tense.

Look!...

45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

AKA..Acts 2.

Anyone that says that their church started pre -Jerusalem via Acts 2 is silly.

You're welcome.

Now, if some of these spiritual zombies that refuse to be baptized for the remission of their sins, get baptized to satisfy another insignificant reason, they are officially buried alive.

Romans 6 is only per water baptism as our burial.

How frightening.

They must stay away from water when the name of Jesus Christ is spoken to be safe.
What frightening is you adding water to Romans 6

romans 6 is God himself baptizing us into Christ and his death. There is no water involved, it does not say for we have been baptized in water into Christ

it says we were baptized Into Christ. (Christ is the agent we were baptized into, much like the children of israel were baptized into moses)

you have to get off the water man.

I'm just quoting what the Bible told us. Jesus gave the great commission commanding water baptism 40 days after His resurrection, and Pentecost came ten days after that. He did tell them to wait until they had received power....which came on Pentecost....not salivation - power :)

3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized(BY THE HOLY GHOST)into his death?

4 Therefore we are buried with him by(HOLY GHOST) baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death(BY THE HOLY GHOST),....

The Holy Ghost is a death baptism?

It kills?

Let's see...

6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

They had a powerless Holy Ghost?

They received the Holy Ghost but were told to wait for it not many days from now?

You reading the bible right?

I don't reckon He breathed on them but it took 50 more days to have the effect He meant it to :)

John 20:22 ASV — And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit:
So they went to Jerusalem as he commanded...

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard,

you will do anything to deny the truth won’t you?

Being baptized in Christ death is where our sins are washed, being baptized into Christ means we are placed in him.

I believe I must do as another person did and back out. There is nothing anyone can say

You still think the Holy Ghost is our baptism unto death per Romans 6?

Putting words in my mouth that I never said, and do not believe is just more shocking and jivin'. The Holy Spirit is the power of God. He has never been nor ever will be powerless. Those born again, filled with the Spirit, had not been baptized in the spirit....which Jesus fixed for them on Pentecost.

This is long after Jesus breathed on them, correct?

Acts 2 is where Ats 1:5 was fulfilled. the Apostles not many days later in the upper room received the Holy Ghost and the church first began at Pentecost.

Repentance and remission of sins started at Pentecost(Jerusalem), right?

It is a phenomenon that cannot be explained.

Folks that claim to be Christians refuse the original new birth via Acts 2:38.

I am amazed at the power of the enemy over them, doing everything they can to dismiss this command by Peter.

It does not matter if one is trinity or unitarian, as they run from the first command by Peter to sinners on how to be saved....

37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

....as Christians say..."sorry Peter, I'll pass....".

When I witness to sinners nowadays, Oh how I wish for such as response: "Men and brethren, what shall we do?".

They did not "receive the Holy Ghost at Pentecost. They were baptized into Him at Pentecost...there is a difference. To this day it is still possible to receive Him, be born again, and fall short of being baptized in Him.
