romanist in general are any of those aliens that called themselves catholics in a roman supported church personally, being an American, I would prefer to go to the American catholic church, but the romanist seem to have a monopoly on this
They teach catechism and errantly preach the Bible on ocassion.
Ahhhh - so this "romanist" sect is an offshoot of the Catholic Church?
Never heard of them. When did they start??

Ha! It's the same over here, but with white people amongst themselves.
All I can say, is next time you sit there wondering what to do, go to a nice quiet spot in a park and just sit down and open your mouth and talk to Him, all he desires is people who will do this but so few do. When i became a Christian i started doing it, was a few weeks before I realised what I was doing, but I expect no less from Jesus, He is our friend, we are supposed to talk to our friends especially when He is your saviour. And dont be surprised when HE answers you, He is faitfhfull.

Luk 7:31 And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?
Luk 7:32 They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.
Luk 7:33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.
Luk 7:34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
Luk 7:35 But wisdom is justified of all her children.

Met her once, wisdom, had a whole bunch of children sitting around her feet learning from Her, God has so much to offer you if you desire to seek fo it. He will take you to places so few get to see because they wont ask and they dont believe.

God bless

I understand. The Mass is beautiful, but no teaching was offered when I got saved. No Bible study.
I wanted to know and understand my faith. The simple answers were not enough, the only contact with the priest was at confession or by special appt. I needed more.

Protestant churches have their pro lems too. Altar calls, splitting, always looking for the right church...
None is perfect.

AND THUS....

The Warning...False Teachers

The Solution...Word written, Word available.
Read it, Eat it up, Eat some more, Christ is ready waiting to WRITE His Word in a mans Heart, and BE his Teacher, for knowledge, wisdom, understanding.

Was I poor growing up...yes.
But at the time, we were not poor. In my mind, everyone else was well to do or rich.

In my mind, our "poorness" was somewhere between comedy and a learning experience of how to make do.

Attend Church? No.
Believe in God, in Jesus, yes, Mom and Dad said so. God IS, creator of all things Period.
Can't SEE, Can't TOUCH.

As an adult, decided to read and study.
Learned Christ whom I can not see, can not touch, had a WAY for me to get to know Him, and I decided I wanted to Know Him. Then learned He has a Church He is building within men, and I wanted to Join. His Word showed me How.

Have spent thousands of hours reading and study and conferring with my teacher in His Church; Christ the Lord Jesus.

And not impressed with the reports, tales, gossiping, complaints, organizations, etc. of man-made Churches.

God Bless,

I agree with you Taken, but, as I've said many times, it's good to get together with other believers. Maybe I appreciate it because I can't really do this.

I believe knowing Jesus is the most important aspect of Christianity, but I also believe it's good to be familiar with our faith; both for ourselves and for others.

1 Peter 3:15

I was Catholic for some fifty years! and our children started to go to another
church in there teens..... and we tried some....

The thing that was not good, is how after mass every one jumps into there car
and zips off quick......... No one seem to stop to talk or make friends.

Now a few times I have passed a Catholic Church and see cars doing the same thing.
Who is going to be out on the street first............

I agree...and take advantage of my ample opportunity to do so.

We travel quite a bit, and must say, it is refreshing to meet people from all over that are believers. To hear tell, news, reports, polls, it's a dwindling phenomenon. I think younger people are less cautious and older people are more cautious and don't particularly have to "put out on umpteen media sites" all they think and do.
But the one on one, meeting people, has been with really nice conversations and sharing the Word.

God Bless,

You see, here's the thing.
romanists (which represent the catholic church based at the Vatican) are not really Christian.
Why?
No one preaches salvation through Jesus, instead, they preach salvation through Mary and the saints.
There is no fellowship between romanists and protestants because they are different religions.

This ONE stupid statement is at the heart of the ignorance that caused you to leave the Church.

Really?
I thought I quit because I hated mass.
Yes the mass.
That means the death of Jesus Christ.
That's why you still have him on the cross in your church buildings.
But protestants celebrate the life of Jesus Christ.
He has life.
He has risen.
He is no longer on the cross.
You celebrate death.
We celebrate life.
That's the difference.

No - THIS is why we depict our Lord on the cross . . .
1 Cor. 1

Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

Preaching Him Crucified is a stumbling block and complete foolishness to you and everybody who is offended by it.
Remember, Einstein - there is NO Resurrection without the Crucifixion . . .

Everybody should be well-catechized about what they believe in.
It's obvious that you're NOT . . .

Differences between being well taught in what one believes and indoctrination of what other men believe.

Prayer Beads...

Matt 6:7
...when ye pray: use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do...

Yes, the crucifixion is taught.
And Yes, His is risen is the celebration.

And Yes, there are signs. God provides the signs. Not a statue, as men do and bow down to.

You haven't been paying attention.
It is not one statement, but a culmination of many things.
