Then returning me to my body, he lead me to his word and provide confirmations of my experience, wherein both his word and my experience confirmed each other. No, the big bang is the predominant theory for the existence of the universe right now. It does not rely on coming from nothing. It actually says that we cannot know what was before the big bang or expansion. There is a lot of speculation of what was before the universe began but all scientists agree at this point we don't know how to actually know or test for that. We can see what the universe was like about 400,000 years after it began from the background radiation, we have actually created a map of what it looked like. The big bang theory has predicted many properties that were later found to be true.

Scientists do not agree that something can come from nothing. What is a nothing? Can it actually exist? Many scientists think that nothingness is impossible so there has always been something.

The bottom line is that we don't know.

The only thing atheists have in common is a shared lack of belief in god. Otherwise we share no common beliefs necessarily. You cannot possible know the atheist point of view because there are as many as there are atheists. I would never presume to know the christian point of view because christians don't share the same views either.

Here is the deal....Logically you can NOT get a living thing from a non-living thing. There always had to be something living...there always had to be “something” because you can’t get something from nothing. Any person with basic logic KNOWS that....You want to pretend it can’t be known. That is a dishonest way to have a discussion.....IMO
