At our Melbourne Cup day celebration, I told everyone I knew who was going to win. They all wanted to know because the race had not yet started.

So I told them. The first horse past the post.

Never been a huge fan of the horses but u gotta appreciate the whole festival, precovid. I've known quite a few people that work in the racing industry and it's another world the equine.

Man's relationship with horse has had such a very rich history. . Been to a couple Melbourne Cups. Few Oaks days. Quite a few Derby Days. All the men looking smart, the ladies looking fascinating with their fascinator hats... lol... It's just so sad.

Even the scene of people at the beach yesterday caused a hysterical panic on the media still peddeling their covid lies...

My mother's brother, my grandfather, and my great grandfather were all trainers. Their surname was well known in new Zealand for nearly a 100 years... Not always for the right reasons. I have horse in my blood. You are right. Such majestic animals. Love them to bits.
