    Saint,

    Salvation is something God provides.
Its not something that you provide God.

Salvation is the BLOOD OF JESUS.
    Salvation is JESUS, Himself
    Jesus is Salvation.
    Jesus is Eternal life.
Do you have Jesus in you?
    Then you have God's Salvation.

So, when you read in the NT that "Salvation is a GIFT"......then we understand that the GIFT is ..

    1. The Blood of Jesus
    2. Jesus Himself.

And, when we realize that to be saved is BECAUSE God has caused it to happen to you, and not because we are trying to keep it, or do it, or process it, or earn it...... When we understand that Salvation is what God came to earth to provide as a '"GIFT"", by dying on THE Cross, and shedding His Blood.....
When we SEE THIS as what God has provided for FREE, instead of trying to comprehend it as what we are trying to KEEP, then we have begun to understand, "the GIFT of Salvation".

    So.......lets look at this closely..

We, THE BORN AGAIN..... are 1.) justified by faith and we are 2.) kept justified by faith.
So, that is "been" justified, and "BEING" justified.

The BEEN, is.....>"your faith is counted as your righteousness".....
This means that God saw your faith in Christ in your heart, and accepted that faith to give you the blood atonement and then the new Birth.
This is ALL of God providing it for you, as a "GIFT".
    You caused NONE OF THAT.
It was APPLIED to you, as God's Grace, which is the mercy of God, undeserved.

    How is this accomplished?

1.) God accepts our faith to : "justified by faith". This means He accepts our faith "as Righteousness".
    This happens once, only once.
    = Born again.
Being born again PROVES that God has accepted your faith, and has REDEEMED you using the Blood of Jesus.
    Its DONE.
Being Born again, is PROOF its completed, which is the : "been".

2.) Faith then continues to Justify.....However, this is not your faith, as God has already accepted your faith, ONCE, as proven by being born again.

So, the "being Justified"... = .this is Christ's Faith that keeps you justified...or "being Justified"......= "continuing to be".
Its this.....>"Jesus is the Author and FINISHER of our FAITH."

    So, see that?
The FINISHER of what? Christ is the AUTHOR and FINISHER of = Your Faith.
See, you gave God something, ... You gave Him your faith as your confidence in Him that He would SAVE YOU. And God is faithful to do this. He is Faithful to complete your Salvation.
    Philippians 1:6
See, your FAITH put your TRUST in God's hands, and He is "faithful to complete" what you have trusted Him to Complete. Philippians 1:6.

Salvation works like this....... You give God your faith, and God takes if from there and will complete it.
That's His promise. God will complete both your salvation AND your FAITH.
See, when you took Christ by Faith, God took you by promise.
He promised that "all who call on the Name of Jesus, will/shall be SAVED"
    He did not lie.
It will be done, if you are born again.

"SAVED" means the completion of the REDEMPTION process by GOD.
God completes your Salvation, and Jesus FINISHES your Faith.
    See that?

    You dont do it.
    You dont keep it.
    You dont earn it.
God keeps it, because GOD is The Savior, and God's word will come to pass.
Being born again is your proof.

You give your faith to God, and He accepted this ONCE to Justify you, (born again).... and then Jesus, who is GOD, finishes your faith. "Jesus is the Author and = Finisher of OUR FAITH".
    Not you.
You dont finish your faith.....You only Give it to God the day you are born again, and God and Christ then take it from there, and complete it to the End for you.
That is the "GIFT of Salvation".

    See.....Salvation is all of God.
He created it with the Blood of Jesus, and then maintains it Himself, for you.
    That is the GIFT.
    And what is Your part?
Your part is to receive God's GIFT of Salvation.

Saint, salvation is not you holding unto God, as that would be a WORK and not a GIft.
    Salvation is a GIFT.
Salvation is God redeeming you with His own BLOOD , and keeping you as His own eternal family.
You do none of this......none of it.
Your part is to RECEIVE the "GIFT".

    Have you?

Salvation is God holding unto YOU< by the Blood of Jesus, and THAT is your Eternal Life.
The Blood Atonement is your Salvation.
    That's God's GIFT.
Your Eternal Life, is not Temporary or Conditional.
Its a "GIFT", a ETERNAL "Gift". = "The GIFT of Salvation".

Wonder why almost all of the hundreds of thousands of Hebrews who brushed the blood on their doorposts and lintels by faith in Egypt, died in the wilderness with God saying, I swear they shall not enter into my rest.

Was there something they forgot to keep?

If the blood of dead animals that the Hebrews spead on their doorposts, is the Blood of Jesus, then im sure you know what you are talking about.

If it isnt the same, then maybe you need to rethink your theology, and line it up with the New Covenant, Charlie.

    Start there.

I would say that blood represented the blood of Christ and by faith in it they were saved the same way we are.

If you don't understand that, it's because you don't fully understand salvation as you project!

    You "would say"?

    Uh huh.
    Im sure you will.

Here is the thing... the blood of animals are a shadow, or a, representation....they are a representation of the real, but they are not the real.
    Understand?
So, your Cross rejecting theology is claiming that the blood of bulls and goats, is equal to the eternal sacrifice of God's Son.

So, Charlie, you should seriously think about what you are trying to prove, and reconsider the offense you are giving God, by your words, and get away from it.

I also now know why all the confusing posts from you in the OSAS thread!

    What am i talking about?
Are you not paying attention again?

Listen, Im talking about a person, you...who is comparing the blood of animals, in the same LITERAL LIGHT, as the Eternal Blood of Jesus as if they are the same.
And you are doing this on a publc forum.
    Wake up, charlie24.

The Old Testament has been REPLACED by the NEW TESTAMENT.
    Didn't you know?

You obviously are a devout legalist, another one who has shown up here, who is burning to prove that you are trying to keep yourself saved, because you dont Trust Christ to keep you saved.
You are just one more legalist, who wants to try to prove to us that you can lose your salvation.

So, i have a question for you..... instead.

Here it is......>>. "How does the Blood of Jesus that Saves us, Keep us saved forever"..???

I'm talking about them looking forward to the blood sacrifice and us looking back at it.

I guess you missed that Sunday School Class.

    You're on my Thread..
Here is the main thing you missed.
My Thread, is doing one thing....Its giving all Credit to God and Christ for saving us, and keeping us saved.

And here you are on My Thread, disputing it with your opposition.

So, do you see yourself yet, Charlie24?
I promise you that God sees you very clearly.

    Take a GOOD LOOK.

No, I'm afraid not Behold! They were saved the exact same way as us, by faith in the Blood of the Lamb.

You are in Sunday School now my friend!

    First, you dodged my question.

Here it is again....>"How does the blood of Jesus that saves us, keep us saved forever.".

Next, why would you want to attack a Thread that is giving honor to the Blood of Jesus, with Old Testament verses that talk about animal blood???

So, again., you are confusing the blood of bulls and goats with the eternal sacrifice of Jesus.

No one in the OT was trusting in Christ, who painted animal blood on their house.

Did you want to paint it on yours?

I've noticed that about you Behold, if someone disagrees with you, there's no, but we are still brothers in Christ about it.

You have a different twist to that, they are not saved at all, are they Behold?

You have defined yourself, Charlie24, by attacking a Thread that Gives all Credit to God and the Blood of Jesus, for saving us and keeping us saved.
Did you expect a hug and a warm welcome for doing that?
So, no real born again person, would attack the blood of Jesus.
    Thats the reality.

I even told you in 2 posts that you ignored, to STOP DOING THAT.

    You decided to continue.

And now you have what you have left.
    Blame yourself.

You're asking me to stop pointing out error in the Word of God.

    Sorry, can't do that!

The blood of Jesus is "error"?
My Thread is only regarding and praising the eternal effect of the Blood of Jesus.
    You say this is "error".

That's interesting Charlie24., and not in a good way.

So, here is the question again for you, a 3rd time.
    Want to dodge it again?
I'll rephrase it for you, ....

"why does the blood of Jesus that saves the born again, always keep them saved"

    Why is that legalist?

Now you're playing your silly little games with "The blood of Jesus is "error."

I'm not avoiding your question and you know where I stand on it!

You're the one who can't explain how the Hebrews were saved and how they couldn't enter into His rest.

I dont think you are, at this time in your religious theology, able to understand how "saved" can have more than one meaning in the Bible, Charlie24.
This word "saved" has more then one application in the Bible.
So, regarding you not being able to understand this....is the same sort of issue that Catholics have, with not being able to understand the difference between, "Spiritual Baptism" and "water baptism". See......To the "cult of Mary", these are the exact same, yet, they are not the same, at all.
So, in your religious theology, the blood of animals, that can't redeem but can only atone for a short time in the OLD TESTAMENT, as in "once per year" or "overnight", as found in the "doorpost blood offering"...... you can't understand that this isn't the same SAVED, as you find with the redemption Gained "once and for all" as the Blood Atonement offered by God on the Cross, as the New Covenant New Testament.

If you understood this, then you would be agreeing my Thread.

See, you are trying to prove that Old Testament Hebrews, who didn't enter into the promised land, is the same as the born again in the "time of the Gentiles", who are already "seated in Heavenly places", and "translated from Darkness to Light".

In other words......you are trying to prove that the Born Again who are already Born Again INTO GOD's Holy Spirit, can be lost, according to how you have misunderstood OT verses that talk about animal blood and Jews.
That is what you are trying to prove.

    So, as i told you.
Think about what you are doing, and stop.
    Its really that simple.
See, never contradict the Grace of God with religious Legalism.
    Dont do that.
Get away from that, and away from the church, denomination or Pastor who has led you into this darkened theological misunderstanding.

Well, if you decide to try to answer my question, you are welcome to it.
Here it is for the 4th time.

"How does the Blood of Jesus that Saved you, Keep YOU Saved".

And.... there are not different types of biblical salvation, as this is only related to SIN being dealt with by Blood.
There is only a difference in the lasting effect.
See, with God, its always...>"without the shedding of Blood there is no remission"..
So, its always BLOOD that is required to deal with SIN.
The difference is....in the OT, you have a temporary sin covering, that is based on animal blood, and in the NEW TESTAMENT, you have a new covenant, that is based on "Christ having obtained eternal redemption for us", by a one time Sacrifice of His body and his BLOOD and His Life.
This is GOD's Blood, and it has ETERNAL LIFE in it, and that is why it keeps you saved, is the answer to my question, Charlie24.
So, there you go. (for future reference).

In both Testament cases, in both covenants, you have blood being offered, but in the NT, you have a eternal resolution of a person's sin.

And that is the GOOD NEWS of the Gospel, and is the main point of my Thread.
