Jesus, Peter, and Paul--the Bible--tells us that many [Christians] would believe a lie and fall into "strong delusion." "Strong", meaning most will believe it and that this would be a time of "great apostacy."
The biblical reality is that most people have been taught and believe in a lie, in the form of "another gospel."
Do I need to quote the scriptures? Really?

Matthew 24:44
Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
2 Peter 2:1
But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.
2 Thessalonians 2:11
And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,
Jesus gave the Why, Peter gave the How, and Paul gave the Result. Which is the promise of scripture, foretold by the mouth of two or three witnesses. Believe it.Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

So...what you "expect" is suspect...and most likely a lie. What to do about it:
First off, if you think you know the truth--you are likely wrong. If you know the truth--ask yourself how it is that you know it, and if it did not come directly from God, it's suspect. What was foretold, is more reliable than what you may have been taught or believed.
Believing something is true, doesn't make it true--even if you have always believed it, even if you think the source is good or beyond question--by the Word of God, it's suspect. The point is...none of this is a surprise to God, but He foretold it as being a surprise to many on a grand scale: "strong delusion" of "great apostacy." Why? He said Why--because many wanted rather to believe a lie--so He let it happen. But why would He do that to those who did not want to believe a lie? Because, His "strength is made perfect in weakness." If you don't understand that--stop preaching what you don't understand--you are giving aid to the enemy.
Nonetheless, these are still to be times of being lead unto all truth by the Holy Spirit. This too was foretold. Whether you like it or not, whether you believe it or not: first comes delusion and apostacy and then revelation, biblically it is referred to as "knowledge shall increase."
But when, when is the delusion and apostacy discovered? When do the blinders come off? Well...if you do not come to the point of reckoning with the reality of foretold delusion-- never. That is, not until you die. In other words, if you don't wake up to the shock of this biblical reality while you are alive, you will wake up to that shock of "weeping and gnashing of teeth" when you die.
Meanwhile, the truth--the actual Truth, is out there...it (He) always has been. It's in the scriptures, but more importantly it is and has been being revealed "here a little, there a little" since Pentecost--by the Holy Spirit. God is spirit. But if you pull those blinders in and stick with what has been apostatized over millennia, refusing the Spirit in spite of or for the sake of the scriptures...you are carrying the water of promised delusion.
Start listening.
