In this life we will experience what Christ experienced in that our loved ones will betray us. Christ was betrayed by a kiss, and scripture speaks of the Love of many getting cold. How we respond to betrayal can vary in many ways.

Do we respond with vengeance and anger? Many have throughout the centuries only to turn into the hardened heart that betrayed them in the first place.
We can respond by shrinking into our shell and having a pity party amongst our friends, or worse yet falling into a deep depressive state where we feel worthless and useless, blaming ourselves for the betrayal.
Some respond with the "I'll Show you" mentality.... a form of vengeance with a more positive outcome than the anger or shrinking approaches above.

Then there is the way Christ responded, with Grace.... "Father forgive them for they know not what they do..." and in the process he made a way of forgiveness for all mankind, for all of us from the least to the greatest betrayed God.

Next time you are betrayed by a loved one a, a co-worker, a friend, a relative etc. try and find the way of Grace, be a steward of the grace you received from Christ, and perhaps you will gain devotion and admiration from that loved one.

For those who are being betrayed right now.... Respond rightly and God will bless you.
