Yet, even among that group of those who "trust in th death and physical resurrection of Jesus", there are the unfaithful and unwise servants, to whom Jesus said, He "will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites."Jesus showed in Matt. 7 that doing good works does not equate to salvation. He did not tell that crowd;" I knew you once, but do not know you now". He was saying they were never saved! Yes we are living in the end of the church age, which many call teh Age of Laodecia because the external form of the church has grown cold and apostate.
But once one places their trust in th death and physical resurrection of Jesus as the only satisfactory sacrifice and offering for sin, all their sins are judiciously removed (past, present, future.) God makes us His children and gives a new heart, mind and destiny. then is a person equipped to do the good works God has foreordained we walk in.
Do you understand what He means by "cut him in two?"
