I recently finished a short story but I am not pleased with it, it is boring and vain. I was going to call it 'Theresa Cleans Up Her Mess," or "Theresa At The Mall." Basically, the characters eat and go shopping, it is dull and boring, the heroines eat yummy food, then throughout the story i describe there clothes, the Bible speaks against gluttony and vanity, there is a lot of vanity, clothe, shoes, hair styles and and hairpieces, jewelry, purses, etc. and they have chicken food with dessert, cheesecake and ice cream. I have a love-hate relationship with food, I am struggling to loose weight, I have lost some pounds but I may have gained it back.

@waterlilyoflife, I enjoy listening to audio stories on YouTube. What was going to be the outcome of your story? What was your plot? :doldrums:

It's not a short story, It's called life....

Concordant OT Ecc 1:13 “It is an experience of evil Elohin [God] has given to the sons of humanity to humble them by it.”

Ecc 3:11 He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity5769 in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.

H5769 עלם עולם ‛ôlâm ‛ôlâm
o-lawm', o-lawm'

From H5956; properly concealed, that is, the vanishing point; generally time out of mind

Translation: So God makes everything proper and appropriate for His Plan, but He has put obscurity in their hearts.. so that, or in order that they cannot know or understand what it is that He is doing to them in this human existence we call life.

Enjoy the ride.... of Life

There's certainly potential -- the inner conflict between indulgence and responsibility, between self love and self loathing. Between the outer self and the inner self. It's definitely worth exploring.

I will work on short stories after I finish my novel, "The Rose Princess.' Although Princess Rosalinda lives in an elegant palace with a beautiful rose garden, grows other flowers, fresh herbs, fruit, and vegetables to eat, and is gorgeous herself, she is a devout Christian who gives a lot to the poor and underprivileged. She prays, reads the Bible, meditates and goes to church a lot. Rosalinda does not dress overly fancy except for special occasions. She does a lot of charity and social work. She sews, embroiders, reads, gardens, dances, goes on ambassador missions, diplomat missions, and at a Valentine party when she is a young teen dating for the first time, she meets Prince Aidan, her true love, who is a lot like her. The idea came to me when I was thinking of a story for Valentine's Day with roses in it.

You are quite creative and that is nice. That's how the Lord created you and you are using your talents in that way.
