Yes you are and do not even know it. You are making salvation about joining the right church, when it is actually about the individual relationship with the Lord. When a person is born again they are automatically added to the Lords church, which is neither Catholic nor Protestant and hey you may be born again, I don't know but when anyone says whole groups of people are not christian, that's mighty questionable judging to me.
