Does the Catechism of the Catholic Church really misinterpret 1 John 1 and Romans 7 so blatantly? Wow!

1 John 1 is a contrast of light and darkness. You are believing the verses for darkness are saved. Not!

Verses:
5 - God is light
6 - walk in darkness
7 - walk in the light
8 - (unbelievers) saying they don't sin
9 - how an unbeliever can be saved
10 - (unbelievers) saying they've never sinned in their whole life.

Another contrast is by Paul comparing Romans 7 to Romans 8. Law vs. Spirit. Or, with the sin nature vs. being born again of the Spirit.

Let me explain.

In 1 John 1:8, John is writing to his congregation. In this passage he includes himself.
1 John 1:8
"If WE claim to be without sin, WE deceive OURSELVES and the truth is not in US."

Now - YOU may believe that John was a lost soul and an "unsaved" man - but I believe that he was truly reborn of the Spirit. The proof of this is that the Holy Spirit spoke through him in no less than FOUR Books of the Bible (Gospel of John, 1 & 2 John, Revelation).

Now - if John, writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit - and a truly converted and reborn person states that he STILL sins - then I believe it. I also believe it because it is backed up by SEVERAL other passages of Scripture that warn born again Christians NOT to fall back into darkness and LOSE their salvation (Matt. 5:13, Matt. 7:21, Rom. 11:22, Heb. 10:26-27, 2 Peter 2:20-22, 2 Peter 3:17, Rev. 3:5, Rev. 22:19).

As for Romans 7 - Paul is not talking about his past - his is talking in the PRESENT TENSE.

So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. We are ALL sinners - believers and non-believers.
But, as Paul states in verse 25 above - believers have a way OUT: through Jesus Christ.

Ummmm, Jesus NOW has a glorified Body.
But, He was born just like the rest of us - from a woman with human DNA. He ate, drank, slept, went to the bathroom and felt pain - just like the rest of us.

Nobody "rewrote" anything. Scripture says that Jesus was FULLY HUMAN as well as being FULLY God (Heb. 2:17-19) - and YOU simply refuse to believe it. That's on YOU, not me.
