If a man can't earn an honest living baking cakes he might, for Jesus's sake, have to change his vocation. There may be less coercion to sin in providing housing, healthcare, dry goods, groceries, etc. to various persons or people groups.

I have had to turn down good-paying work to avoid violating my conscience. It's not the end of the world. Jesus never sought to petition for His civil rights.
