I repeat this post from page 12 because you have not answered me...
The guy must obviously have me on ignore. He is definitely afraid to confront me. ;);) Bro...I'm going for a nap. Hopefully you have something to say when I get back :)

I repeat this post from page 12 because you have not answered me...
It does not look like you care to understand who Jesus was speaking too. Those promises were spoken to those Apostolic eyewitnesses who were with him .Anthony, I don't look at Christ's words in John 14:16 as "oh those don't apply to me" or "oh the God the Spirit doesn't have the power to teach me things". I don't instead look to men to be my first and foremost teacher. God comes first.
At this point " stop sign " I don't think you worthy of a debate, I just pray to God that you not be allowed to miss lead the babes In Christ.Answer the questions. There is no real debate here.
The problem is the OP was hurt in one thing and went way to far the other way. I was there myself at one time until God got a hold of me again. I went from evangelical, to Pentecostal, than because I picked up a book went reformed and finally after God got a hold of me I ended in Traditional Christianity
sounds similar to what happened to me as a child. Here's the best miracle that I remember well.
I drowned in a pool around 9 and 10.. and as I sunk to bottom I said how do I get out of this.. I couldn't swim ..3 min under.. then a man jumped in and saved me.. I told the man sorry I slipped.. he said okay ..walked away. I saw my mom tried to tell her this.. she didn't see me.. so I said nobody cares if u die went back to swimming. I brought this event up 15 years later both mom and sister deny it happened. No memory of it.. That's how I know my guardian jump in at light speed and nobody sees. God kingdom operates in light speed realm like thor.. and the people look like normal people.. these angels or Saints!
Is that what's wrong with you?
Tell me brother. Who or what is the Holy Spirit to you.
There is no such thing as a believer who has not been indwelt by the Spirit of God;When you became a believer, did you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit?
Anthony, you're not going to convince me otherwise, and I don't think it's ethical for you to try -- God's the teacher, not sinners. But then again, if you want to totally ignore me saying that, you certainly can. But it is a waste-of-time conversation. It does not look like you care to understand who Jesus was speaking too. Those promises were spoken to those Apostolic eyewitnesses who were with him .
1 John 1 King James Version (KJV)
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
sounds similar to what happened to me as a child.
God Moments: My Testimony

2 Corinthians 12 (KJV)Christians enjoy bible study. I notice here people like storytelling, not scripture so much.
I am not seeing anyone who can offer a bible study yet. Why do you avoid scripture H2S?
Did you answer the two questions I asked you?
This is orthodox teaching but you and the others do not know Church history enough to know.Meh! I'm just gonna move this thread to the unorthodox forum because it is exactly that....unorthodox.
Guess what? Paul is speaking of himself, and he is an Apostle. You miss the whole passage.2 Corinthians 12 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
¹ It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.
² I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
…
⁴ How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
Here Paul is talking a about a man....not an apostle...who experienced a supernatural event he experienced....NOT AN APOSTLE
⁵ Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.
⁶ For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.
Paul said of such a man he would he glorify...NOT AN APOSTLE
⁷ And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
⁸ For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
⁹ And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Paul confesses his weaknesses and would rather glory in his infirmities so that the power of Christ may rest upon him.
¹⁰ Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
¹¹ I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing.
Any clue to who the chiefest apostles are?
¹² Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.
¹³ For what is it wherein ye were inferior to other churches, except it be that I myself was not burdensome to you? forgive me this wrong.
¹⁴ Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
¹⁵ And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.
¹⁶ But be it so, I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you with guile.
¹⁷ Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you?
Paul says the signs of a true apostle were wrought with patience, signs, wonders and mighty deeds.....he is challenging them on what the false apostles had to offer.
¹⁸ I desired Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps?
¹⁹ Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.
²⁰ For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:
²¹ And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
The rest you can figure out.
