True but the Bible says that blindness in part has happened until the times of the gentiles are over. I realize most people thinks that means god turns back to the Jews at that time for mass Jewish salvation at the end of time but I think the fulness of the gentiles means when God was done using the gentile nations to punish the Jews for rebellion.

We can agree to disagree on that.
That's a fact!

We can agree to disagree on that.

I don't interpret what Paul said that way. I interpret the fulness of the Gentiles to mean when during this present world The Gospel being accepted by the Gentiles is complete, and means it will be the day of Christ's future return.

At the end of Zechariah 12 it says the families of Israel will mourn for Him, meaning when He returns. In Luke 23 Jesus quoted the "Blessed are the barren..." metaphor from Isaiah 54 to those daughters of Jerusalem who wept for Him when He was bearing His cross to be crucified. He showed the deceived Jews will be repeating that "Blessed are the barren..." about those of His saints that were faithful and waited on Him to come. And then they shall wish for the mountains and the hills to fall on them, which is put for their feeling shame at having rejected Him.

Thus Jesus was pointing to 'spiritually blinded' Jews who do love The LORD and have every intention of worshiping Him only. It's just that they were deceived because of the blindness God put upon them so The Gospel would go to the Gentiles (and to the Ten Tribes of the "house of Israel" scattered among the Gentiles.) That is why these will feel shame when Jesus does appear to them. As for the 'false Jews' that the devil sowed among Judah (the good wheat in Christ's parable of the tares of the field), they won't feel shame, for they have been against Jesus Christ from the very start working for the devil while hiding among true Judah (see John 8). But these Jesus speaks to below are those deceived Jews that are... actually of the 'seed' of Israel, but God blinded them spiritually.

Luke 23:27-31
27 And there followed Him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented Him.

28
But Jesus turning unto them said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for Me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, 'Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.'
30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, 'Fall on us'; and to the hills, 'Cover us.'"

31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?"

11 Now Jesus stood before the governor. And the governor asked Him, saying, "Are You the King of the Jews?" So Jesus said to him, "It is as you say."

"That may be so - but it is also irrelevant."
-
Col. Nguyen Don Tu

It is very relevant, because many preachers in the Church continually try to use that label 'Jew' for ALL... Israelites, when that is not Biblical nor historical. They don't realize it's the 'crept in unawares' that are pushing them to spread that lie.

Per the Jewish historian Josephus (circa 100 A.D.). Below he was talking about how Nehemiah had received a letter from the king to take back to the governor Adeus of Syria, and Phoenicia, and Samaria, to rebuild Jerusalem's walls and the temple, and for the governor to supply Nehemiah with whatever he needed.

7. Now when he was come to Babylon, and had taken with him many of his countrymen, who voluntarily followed him, he came to Jerusalem in the twenty and fifth year of the reign of Xerxes. And when he had shown the epistles to God 13 he gave them to Adeus, and to the other governors. He also called together all the people to Jerusalem, and stood in the midst of the temple, and made the following speech to them: "You know, O Jews, that God hath kept our fathers, Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in mind continually, and for the sake of their righteousness hath not left off the care of you. Indeed he hath assisted me in gaining this authority of the king to raise up our wall, and finish what is wanting of the temple. I desire you, therefore who well know the ill-will our neighboring nations bear to us, and that when once they are made sensible that we are in earnest about building, they will come upon us, and contrive many ways of obstructing our works, that you will, in the first place, put your trust in God, as in him that will assist us against their hatred, and to intermit building neither night nor day, but to use all diligence, and to hasten on the work, now we have this especial opportunity for it." When he had said this, he gave order that the rulers should measure the wall, and part the work of it among the people, according to their villages and cities, as every one's ability should require. And when he had added this promise, that he himself, with his servants, would assist them, he dissolved the assembly. So the Jews prepared for the work: that is the name they are called by from the day that they came up from Babylon, which is taken from the tribe of Judah, which came first to these places, and thence both they and the country gained that appellation.
(The Antiquities of the Jews, by Flavius Josephus, Book XI, Chapter 5, Section 7.)

Once God had scattered the northern ten tribes of Israel out of the northern portion of the holy lands, the Jews of the southern "kingdom of Judah" were the only ones left. And those of that southern "kingdom of Judah" (see 2 Chron.11), only, became known as the Jews, that title taken from the sole tribe of Judah. Only the tribes of Benjamin and Levi were joined with Judah in that kingdom at Jerusalem-Judea. The kings of Assyria had replaced the northern ten tribes with pagan foreigners from Babylon in the northern holy lands at Samaria, and those became the Samaritans.

So is that relevant? Yes indeed, it is very relevant to both Bible history and secular history.

A religion grounded in the Law seems different than one founded in Grace.

Judaism is not a religion grounded in the law. It is a man-made religion made up of doctrines of men, like JESUS HIMSELF said...

Matt 15:1-3
15 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
2 "Why do Thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread."
3
But He answered and said unto them, "Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?"

Hey dude find the word promise in the actual Old Testament scriptures.
Abraham was great but Christians are children of God, that is better.

Your Biblical ignorance is showing.

Gal 3:6-14
6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
7
Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9
So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
13
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
KJV

Gal 3:16-18
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make
the promise of none effect.
18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise:
but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
KJV

Gal 3:22
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that
the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
KJV

Gal 3:29
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs
according to the promise.
KJV

Jesus critiqued 2nd-Temple-era Judaism from the position of an insider, not an outsider. As did Paul later. Judaism has a long tradition of self-critique; an admirable tradition. (Even if those being critiqued don't appreciate it.)

God's critique is what matters, not what man says. And one would have to tear out a whole... bunch of Bible pages to want to deny God's critiques of when His chosen seed of Israel fell away from Him into idol worship.

Do you sit up at night trying to think of ways to mock those in Christ Jesus who keep HIS Word, and not your own?
So are you under the Law or the New Covenant? Can't be both! Do you preach the Law to Christians?

What you are not seeing is the difference between righteousness and holiness. What has been replaced is the holiness aspect of Judaism. The righteousness aspect has not. In fact in many ways the Jews are STILL more righteous than most Christians. How? They allow for others beside themselves to be seen as righteous.

Now holiness is a completely other thing. No Jew ever walked in the perfection of Christ unless they first entered INTO Christ. Likewise those who think they are under grace but are not. Otherwise they too would be walking in Christ's perfection without sin. So then we have gone backward in the church doctrines....being neither righteous nor holy...denying both.

We shall see how far that 'holiness' gets the unbelieving Jews when Lord Jesus Christ shows up in our near future.

But they won't be "unbelieving" lol.

Ezekiel 11:17-20
17 Therefore say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "I will gather you from the peoples, assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel." '

And He did!

18 And they will go there, and they will take away all its detestable things and all its abominations from there.
19 Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh, 20 that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

Stay tuned, if you can.

Yes He did!

Did not! Others called Him a Jew.

John 18:33-34
33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto Him, "Art thou the King of the Jews?"
34 Jesus answered him, "Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of Me?"
KJV

John 19:19-22
19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
21
Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, "Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews."
22 Pilate answered, "What I have written I have written."
KJV

You won't find anywhere written where Jesus said He was king of the Jews.

Lord Jesus Christ is KING of ISRAEL, and head of The Church.

The Jews don't even represent all of the 12 tribes of Israel, but those of the southern "kingdom of Judah" only that remained in the holy land when God scattered the northern ten tribes out of the land first, among the Gentiles, and their having lost their heritage as part of Israel.

I'm under The New Covenant Jesus Christ, of course. Instead of making up LIES about me, you ought to take some time and read more of my posts here on this Forum, and then you'd know... I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, and under the unction of The Holy Spirit.

You can't even rightly divide the Scriptures according to their timelines. That Ezekiel 11 gathering is STILL FUTURE and only will happen when Jesus returns. And it will involve the BELIEVING REMNANT of the Jews being gathered by Him, which are part of His Church.
