True but the Bible says that blindness in part has happened until the times of the gentiles are over. I realize most people thinks that means god turns back to the Jews at that time for mass Jewish salvation at the end of time but I think the fulness of the gentiles means when God was done using the gentile nations to punish the Jews for rebellion.

We can agree to disagree on that.
That's a fact!

I don't interpret what Paul said that way. I interpret the fulness of the Gentiles to mean when during this present world The Gospel being accepted by the Gentiles is complete, and means it will be the day of Christ's future return.

At the end of Zechariah 12 it says the families of Israel will mourn for Him, meaning when He returns. In Luke 23 Jesus quoted the "Blessed are the barren..." metaphor from Isaiah 54 to those daughters of Jerusalem who wept for Him when He was bearing His cross to be crucified. He showed the deceived Jews will be repeating that "Blessed are the barren..." about those of His saints that were faithful and waited on Him to come. And then they shall wish for the mountains and the hills to fall on them, which is put for their feeling shame at having rejected Him.

Thus Jesus was pointing to 'spiritually blinded' Jews who do love The LORD and have every intention of worshiping Him only. It's just that they were deceived because of the blindness God put upon them so The Gospel would go to the Gentiles (and to the Ten Tribes of the "house of Israel" scattered among the Gentiles.) That is why these will feel shame when Jesus does appear to them. As for the 'false Jews' that the devil sowed among Judah (the good wheat in Christ's parable of the tares of the field), they won't feel shame, for they have been against Jesus Christ from the very start working for the devil while hiding among true Judah (see John 8). But these Jesus speaks to below are those deceived Jews that are... actually of the 'seed' of Israel, but God blinded them spiritually.

Luke 23:27-31
27 And there followed Him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented Him.

28
But Jesus turning unto them said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for Me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, 'Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.'
30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, 'Fall on us'; and to the hills, 'Cover us.'"

31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?"

Matthew 27:11
11 Now Jesus stood before the governor. And the governor asked Him, saying, "Are You the King of the Jews?" So Jesus said to him, "It is as you say."

"That may be so - but it is also irrelevant."
-
Col. Nguyen Don Tu

It is very relevant, because many preachers in the Church continually try to use that label 'Jew' for ALL... Israelites, when that is not Biblical nor historical. They don't realize it's the 'crept in unawares' that are pushing them to spread that lie.

Per the Jewish historian Josephus (circa 100 A.D.). Below he was talking about how Nehemiah had received a letter from the king to take back to the governor Adeus of Syria, and Phoenicia, and Samaria, to rebuild Jerusalem's walls and the temple, and for the governor to supply Nehemiah with whatever he needed.

7. Now when he was come to Babylon, and had taken with him many of his countrymen, who voluntarily followed him, he came to Jerusalem in the twenty and fifth year of the reign of Xerxes. And when he had shown the epistles to God 13 he gave them to Adeus, and to the other governors. He also called together all the people to Jerusalem, and stood in the midst of the temple, and made the following speech to them: "You know, O Jews, that God hath kept our fathers, Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in mind continually, and for the sake of their righteousness hath not left off the care of you. Indeed he hath assisted me in gaining this authority of the king to raise up our wall, and finish what is wanting of the temple. I desire you, therefore who well know the ill-will our neighboring nations bear to us, and that when once they are made sensible that we are in earnest about building, they will come upon us, and contrive many ways of obstructing our works, that you will, in the first place, put your trust in God, as in him that will assist us against their hatred, and to intermit building neither night nor day, but to use all diligence, and to hasten on the work, now we have this especial opportunity for it." When he had said this, he gave order that the rulers should measure the wall, and part the work of it among the people, according to their villages and cities, as every one's ability should require. And when he had added this promise, that he himself, with his servants, would assist them, he dissolved the assembly. So the Jews prepared for the work: that is the name they are called by from the day that they came up from Babylon, which is taken from the tribe of Judah, which came first to these places, and thence both they and the country gained that appellation.
(The Antiquities of the Jews, by Flavius Josephus, Book XI, Chapter 5, Section 7.)

Once God had scattered the northern ten tribes of Israel out of the northern portion of the holy lands, the Jews of the southern "kingdom of Judah" were the only ones left. And those of that southern "kingdom of Judah" (see 2 Chron.11), only, became known as the Jews, that title taken from the sole tribe of Judah. Only the tribes of Benjamin and Levi were joined with Judah in that kingdom at Jerusalem-Judea. The kings of Assyria had replaced the northern ten tribes with pagan foreigners from Babylon in the northern holy lands at Samaria, and those became the Samaritans.

So is that relevant? Yes indeed, it is very relevant to both Bible history and secular history.

A religion grounded in the Law seems different than one founded in Grace.

Judaism is not a religion grounded in the law. It is a man-made religion made up of doctrines of men, like JESUS HIMSELF said...

Matt 15:1-3
15 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
2 "Why do Thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread."
3
But He answered and said unto them, "Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?"

Are you another Law preacher who doesn't obey the Law?
