Discernment is a wonderful gift from God

There is a "spiritual Gift of Discernment" that is one of the 9 spiritual Gifts.......that Paul describes.
That is only given so some.......who are already born again.

Whereas "Spiritual discernment" is not a gift.....>its a "in Christ", normal access to the Holy Spirit's understanding that is connected to the born again spirit.
All Christians have this.. .but, not all have exercised it so that it becomes significant in their lives.

Also correction can only come by divine heart revelation.

1.) Hebrews 12:6, is not a "revelation of the heart", its a SITUATION in Life, often, that God brings to you, that produces Holiness in you.

2.) Also, this "correction" can be the word of God, showing you something about yourself...inside yourself... that needs to be corrected.

So, its both.

1 Corinthians 2:14

King James Version

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

That’s why we don’t listen to a strangers voice...they are in the natural, as we can see above.

They are driven by pride/ego and self reliance on the scriptures, have nothing to do with their arguing and unedifying words.

Only they are ever right, only they know the truth of God’s word, they crave control..avoid them at all costs and just focus on the Living Holy Spirit voice, in Jesus Name...Amen!

That’s why we don’t listen to a strangers voice..

You are a Calvinist, a Hyper Calvinist who teaches it... so, you have listened to a ""strangers Voice."" and obey them from the Heart.

Jesus does not teach Calvinism.
The Holy Spirit never led you to it, and does not cause you to teach this "doctrine of devils".

A.) Discern that about yourself.

1. 1 Kings 3:9 - Seeking a Discerning Heart

“So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?"

In this verse, Solomon asks God for a discerning heart to lead His people well. As we seek to make wise choices and navigate complex situations, let's follow Solomon's example and ask God for discernment. When we humbly acknowledge our need for His guidance and wisdom, He is faithful to provide it.

2. Philippians 1:9-10 - Growing in Discernment Through Love

“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.”

Paul's prayer for the Philippians reminds us that discernment grows as we grow in love. The more we love God and others, the more we will desire to know what is true and right. As our love abounds in knowledge and insight, we will be better equipped to discern what is best and live pure and blameless lives.

3. Psalm 119:66 - Learning from God's Commands

“Teach me knowledge and good judgment, for I trust your commands.”

The psalmist recognizes that true knowledge and good judgment come from trusting and following God's commands. As we study and meditate on God's Word, we gain the wisdom and discernment we need to make godly choices. Let's make it a daily practice to learn from His commands and allow them to shape our thinking and decision-making.

4. 1 Corinthians 2:14 - Discernment Through the Holy Spirit

“The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.”

This verse reminds us that true discernment comes through the Holy Spirit. As believers, we have the incredible gift of the Spirit living within us, guiding us into all truth. When we rely on His wisdom and insight, rather than our own understanding, we can discern what is of God and what is not.

5. Hebrews 5:14 - Training for Discernment

“But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.”

Just like physical exercise strengthens our bodies, regularly exercising our discernment muscles strengthens our ability to distinguish good from evil. As we consistently study God's Word, pray for wisdom and put His truth into practice, we will grow in spiritual maturity and discernment.

6. James 1:5 - Asking God for Wisdom

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

When we face difficult decisions or complex situations, we can confidently ask God for the wisdom we need. He promises to give generously to all who ask, without finding fault. What an incredible promise! Let's boldly approach His throne of grace and ask for the wisdom and discernment we need.

7. 1 Kings 4:29 - Receiving God-Given Wisdom

“God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.”

Just as God gave Solomon extraordinary wisdom and insight, He wants to give us the same. When we seek His face and depend on His Spirit, He will equip us with the wisdom and discernment we need to navigate life's challenges and make a difference in the world around us.

8. Proverbs 3:21-22 - Holding onto Sound Judgment

“My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck.”

These verses urge us to keep wisdom, understanding and sound judgment at the forefront of our minds. When we hold onto these qualities and allow them to guide our thoughts and actions, they will bring life and grace to every area of our lives.

9. Proverbs 2:3-5 - Seeking Wisdom Like Treasure

“Indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.”

Proverbs 2 paints a beautiful picture of the value of wisdom and understanding. When we seek these qualities with the same passion and persistence as we would search for hidden treasure, we will grow in our fear of the Lord and knowledge of God. Let's make the pursuit of godly wisdom a top priority in our lives.

10. Ephesians 5:17 - Understanding the Lord's Will

“Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.”

Discernment is closely tied to understanding and following God's will for our lives. As we seek His guidance through prayer, Bible study and wise counsel, we can gain clarity on the path He has for us. Let's be intentional about understanding His will and aligning our lives with His purposes.

Imagine if you could think for yourself, and didnt have to post long redundant.... cut and paste posts......, always written by other people.

So, consider that when you are trying to discuss the Discernment of a Christian, who has the Holy Spirit in them.. and you use a OT verse that is not talking about the Body of Christ, then you are just proving that you have no idea what you are doing., and nor does your onlie commentary heretic you are following..
Same as your next post....

Let me show you something.

"Discernment" is not "trying to know what is right vs wrong"...... its actually the ability to understand distinctions, regarding all things.

= How to spot differences.

for example...

How to SEE why, Calvinism, is anti-Cross..

How to SEE why the "cult of mary" is a man made religious situation..

How to hear someone talk about being born again, before they have any faith in Christ and instantly (discerning) that this One is a deceived Hyper Calvinist. (You).

Hebrews 12:7-11

King James Version

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

"discern" that.

10 Arrogant know-it-alls stir up discord, but wise men and women listen to each other's counsel. 11 Easy come, easy go, but steady diligence pays off.

You are not my council.
If you want to pretend that Role then write your own Thread's instead of using other's Thread to try to prove you are theologically clueless.
See. ..You are just very confused, and want to fight about it.
That's why you are on the Forum.
You are simply a very deceived Calvinist, who tells everyone that they are not "spiritual"..
That's your "ministry" on THIS Forum.

You are the problem.. and many here have tried to help you, but your arrogant pride, prefers to label them all as "not understanding spiritual things"..... or to imply they are not born again.. and then say.. "in my opinion"....... while at the same time, you cant even understand the "cut and paste" that you post.

Sad.

Discernment, as discussed in the Bible, is the ability to distinguish between right and wrong, truth and falsehood, and to make wise and spiritually sound decisions. The concept of discernment is woven throughout both the Old and New Testaments, emphasizing the importance of seeking God's guidance and relying on His wisdom to navigate life's complexities.

In the Old Testament, Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) advises, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." This verse underscores the need for individuals to rely on divine wisdom rather than solely trusting their own judgment, promoting discernment as a key aspect of a faithful life.

The New Testament also addresses discernment, with the Apostle Paul encouraging believers to develop a discerning spirit. In Philippians 1:9-10 (NIV), Paul prays, "And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ." Here, discernment is linked to love, knowledge, and pursuing what is morally excellent.

Furthermore, in 1 Corinthians 2:14-15 (NIV), Paul speaks about spiritual discernment, stating, "The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments." This passage highlights the role of the Holy Spirit in providing believers with the ability to discern spiritual truths.

In essence, the Bible underscores discernment as a valuable quality that emerges from a close relationship with God, a reliance on His wisdom, and a commitment to seeking His guidance in all aspects of life. It involves an understanding of God's will and a dedication to making choices that align with His purposes and principles.

Discernment, as discussed in the Bible, is the ability to distinguish between right and wrong,

As i said.. .. spiritual discernment it the spiritual ability to distinguish distinctions.

So, if you are trying to find out what is wrong or right, then refer to your conscience.

Notice..
The reason i know you are a Hyper Calvinist, is not because im seeing you as DECEIVED.......as only a deceived Person, is a disciple of John Calvin.
That's you.

So, you need to "discern that".. about yourself, and stop...asap.

Calvinism, is a "different doctrine", its not the words of Jesus, it does not promote Godliness, because its a doctrine of devils.

So, if and when you can discern this truth, will be a day of deliverance for you.
