Good question?? Although, I wouldn't try it... :)
Neither would I. I also wouldn't know what disinfectant would be safe to inhale. I know that Clorox wouldn't be; but figure out the right disinfectant at the right dosage and using a vape pen might be possibility. It would be nice if it was safe to use every time you went out somewhere.

There are some very desperate, misguided people on this forum.
I wouldn't worry too much about anyone in this thread, Willie. I'd worry more about the people who didn't hear the part about consulting a doctor. They hear Trump talking about injecting disinfectant and think they could treat themselves the way the woman did after hearing Trump talking about chloroquine and decided to ingest some of her aquarium cleaner. The Free Beacon didn't reveal her last name, but they said she and her husband were Democrats who had donated to Democrats. Talk about strange! Why, if she didn't vote for Trump for President, would she think he could give her medical advice? He certainly did not recommend using her aquarium cleaner.

I also think we should all worry about Trump who doesn't seem to understand that people take what he says seriously, even if he's musing.

Around 50 years ago Great Britain had Harold Wilson as Prime Minister and also Edward Heath.

Mr Wilson was a jokey, personable, cheeky chappie. This was his personal style.

Mr. Heath seemed to represent the deep freeze. (This was his.)

I watched the briefing. I know, first hand, what he said. He never suggested drinking (nor shooting-up) Lysol.
This is where he needs to appreciate the responsibilities that come with being the President of the United States when speaking to the public. No, he did not tell people to inject or drink disinfectant, or to stick lights into their lungs. But by talking about it in the way he did (as something that scientists are either looking into, or should look into), some people will come away with the impression that there is something to those things and therefore they're worth trying.

We saw that with how his hydroxychloroquine rhetoric led to a nationwide shortage of the drug, and in one case an unnecessary death. He never actually told people to take the drug, but the manner in which he talked about it gave a lot of people the impression that it's worth trying. (Sadly now we're finding out int not only doesn't work, in some cases it makes things worse)

At the very least he needs to be much more cautious in what he says, and he needs to be aware that there are a lot of people in this country who hang on his every word and take what he says as gospel truth.

I know I might cop a bit of backlash here for posting this, you may be a Trump fan or you may not be, but just making sure you know, it's definitely not recommended for anyone to follow Trump's suggestion on injecting disinfectant.
How come you have swallowed another Fake News pill? Stay away from all the Left-Liberal hypocritical, lying mainstream media. And NBC is among the worst. CNN, NBC, MSNBC, ABC, FOX NEWS, Facebook Twitter, etc. are all suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome. And the NY Times and Washington Post are the worst offenders. They have been sued for their lies, when they should have bee prosecuted and shut down.

This may be safe to try at home. It might not work for coronavirus, but it could still be fun.

Like Trump University got shut down and sued?

April 2018 $25 million settlement finalized in Trump University lawsuit - CNNPolitics

A judge has finalized a $25 million dollar settlement in the Trump University class action lawsuit, paving the way for thousands of former students at the now-defunct real estate seminar to get some of their money back.

Judge Gonzalo Curiel in the Southern District of California approved the settlement in March 2017, but it was delayed because one woman wanted to opt out and sue Donald Trump separately.

Earlier this year, an appeals court rejected the woman's arguments. And on Monday, Curiel finalized the settlement.

Former students who claim they were defrauded are now eligible for a refund of up to 90% of the money they spent on courses.

Or like how the Trump Foundation got shut down and sued successfully for misusing funds?

December 2019 Donald J. Trump Pays Court-Ordered $2 Million For Illegally Using Trump Foundation Funds | New York State Attorney General

New York Attorney General Letitia James today released the following statement after Donald J. Trump was forced to pay more than $2 million in court-ordered damages to eight different charities for illegally misusing charitable funds at the Trump Foundation for political purposes:

“Not only has the Trump Foundation shut down for its misconduct, but the president has been forced to pay $2 million for misusing charitable funds for his own political gain. Charities are not a means to an end, which is why these damages speak to the president’s abuse of power and represent a victory for not-for-profits that follow the law. Funds have finally gone where they deserve — to eight credible charities. My office will continue to fight for accountability because no one is above the law — not a businessman, not a candidate for office, and not even the president of the United States.”

As part of a resolution of the lawsuit announced on November 7th, Trump was ordered to pay $2 million, or $250,000, a piece to eight different charities. Those charities are Army Emergency Relief, the Children’s Aid Society, Citymeals-on-Wheels, Give an Hour, Martha’s Table, the United Negro College Fund, the United Way of National Capital Area, and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Additionally, Trump was forced to reimburse his namesake foundation $11,525 for sports paraphernalia and champagne purchased at a charity gala, which was added to $1,797,598.30 already in the foundation’s bank account. The combined $1,809,123.30 was split evenly and recently transferred to the eight agreed upon charities. Each charity ended up receiving a total of $476,140.41.

I admit I only put this here, because I was worried someone would follow the suggestion whether it be out of context to what was said or not, the problem is there are some people that would try anything..

Strictly speaking , it isn’t fake news - President Trump did say something on the subject, it just got taken out of context and was then misquoted..............so it was misrepresented by the press.
Rita
That's pretty much what I meant. Gave the wrong idea of what he said.

What about murder and then blaming it on Trump? It might have happened.

The Free Beacon has another article on that couple that took the aquarium cleaner. They revealed the names; and they say several people who knew them both said the man would never have done consumed aquarium cleaner. The story may still be unfolding -- or we may never know what really happened -- but it raises the possibility that the wife gave it to him without his knowledge wanting him to die and giving herself a smaller dose so she got sick too but not sick enough to die. Then she blamed Trump?
