I agree with this 100%. I don't believe people are allergic to milk - I believe they are allergic to the chemicals in the milk, due to the poor conditions of the cow (and it's food), vaccines, and the processing of the milk. God would not have given His people something that was bad for them, and He promised them a land flowing with milk and honey - ergo, I argue milk and honey (in their God-designed form) are very healthy foods. Also I forgot to mention about the concern....for the concern regarding milk. Milk is the best and most effective source for calcium for the body, meaning the body will absorb the calcium from milk better than any other source. Strangely enough nothing else compares to it. Because all other sources provide so little calcium or are not effectively absorbed by the body it becomes a real chore to get the right amount of calcium. Nuts are a good example, some are a good source of calcium, but due to the effectiveness of the body absorbing the calcium from them you would pretty much have to walk around with a hand full of nuts all the time.
The lack of milk in children's diet can have a devastating effect on the formation of bones and teeth. And using enough of the other sources....LOL...getting them to eat it can be near to impossible.
Women or at least some women are susceptible to losing bone density, particularly when they are older. So it can be life long chore to keep up with the calcium intake. And I do not see too many women walking around with a hand full of nuts.
The thing to keep in mind is that it does not matter how much calcium is in the source, it only matters if the body absorbs it and if you eat enough of it.
As a child I drank milk with every meal.
I agree it is just that some of this stuff seems to be modern issues. Some of it has to do with their stomachs not capable of digesting milk correctly...they are calling it lactose in intolerant....but I never heard of such a thing when I was a kid.I agree with this 100%. Do we know as a fact that ancient Israelites actually drank cow's milk?Well Pearl, the modern world many have caused some illnesses and allergies….tick bits that cause Lyme disease and conditions were people cannot eat meat. Young people with emotional problems seem to be an issue. In biblical times they did not give their cows supplements and they did not pasteurize or homogenize their milk.
We know for a fact God gave them a land flowing with milk and honey. Whether that milk was from a cow, a goat, or a woman, God would not have given them something bad. Seriously, I believe they drank cows' and goats' milk. Why ever would they not have? (Pretty sure honey only comes from bees, so not as much choice there).Do we know as a fact that ancient Israelites actually drank cow's milk?
Much love!
Yeah. I've heard of people who believed they were allergic to one food or another, but they go to a different country, and eat the food in its natural form, and they're suddenly not allergic. The allergy is usually to the poison in the food, not the food itself. The disclaimer to that is Genetic Modification of food and people (e.g. with vaccines). When people are injected with vaccines, who knows how that changes their body? Then I can understand them becoming allergic to good food. Similarly, when foolish man arrogantly modifies what God has made - of course people are going to be allergic to that rubbish.I agree it is just that some of this stuff seems to be modern issues. Some of it has to do with their stomachs not capable of digesting milk correctly...they are calling it lactose in intolerant....but I never heard of such a thing when I was a kid.
The funny on this has to do with the words all natural and organic. My daughter is a nurse and she likes that stuff and I tell her the words all natural or organic are just words, marketing ploys or advertisement clichés because if they had to guarantee the condition of all aspect of the food including handling it, it would cost too much to buy. She handed me a carton of 2% milk the other day that said organic....I looked at her and laughed and said, What do you think they had to do to it to make 2% and it is homogenized and pasteurized! It is extremely processed and anything but organic! LOL The same people that swear by the organic stuff would consider milk straight from the cow poison....and I have drank it all my life.

"Death directly attributed to bacon…zero. Bacon related deaths….not likelyNo one is going to think less of you for not drinking milk.
On the other hand there are people....a lot of them that get their Jollies by being fear mongers and I think some people like being scared. As far as milk I have been drinking "raw" milk my whole life...when I can get it.
But if you are going to be concerned with milk the fear mongers have a whole list for you to consider....I call it THE INCREDIBLE FEAR OF EVERYTHING!

Death by Bacon? Not Likely.
Canned foods are another topic....a lot of people do not like canned foods but canning has probably saved tens of millions of lives....Uncanned foods can have a host of issues that can be fatal.
LOL is that funny? Some of us are old enough to remember when they thought some things where good and something’s were bad...and then now it is different. Usually when they processes stuff things get worse but for bacon it makes it have health benefits."Death directly attributed to bacon…zero. Bacon related deaths….not likely
Death by Bacon? Not Likely."
This really isn't logical.I no longer drink cow's milk because I learned that the cellular structure of a cow's milk is not the same as the cellular structure in human breast milk from your mother so I no longer drink other animal's milk as for one big reason, I think for the cellular structure difference reasoning, I think it can cause cancer. I think goat's milk is not the same cellular structure as human milk also.
I don't know why it says in the bible about a land with milk and honey.
Moral of the story .....eat more bacon!Death directly attributed to bacon…zero. Bacon related deaths….not likely
Death by Bacon? Not Likely.
And a healthy dose of phytoestrogens.....Unh, unh.. Soy milk gives me diarrhea. Bad experience out in Taiwan.
My view is that oxen are mentioned everywhere in the bible. Oxen are male cattle - and male cattle have gotta come from somewhere, and the female cattle that produced them will also produce milk. Even some of the sacrifices required oxen, so it's doubtful that the Israelites didn't drink cow's milk (but probably also did drink the other milk sources, as you mentioned from the Jewish Encyclopedia).I found this . . .

—Biblical Data:
Palestine is praised in the Bible as a "land flowing with milk and honey" (Ex. iii. 8 et al.), milk representing the common necessities of life, and honey referring to luxuries. In Isa. lv. 1, milk is coupled with wine to denote a similar idea (comp. Ezek. xxv. 4). The Israelites used the milk of goats (Deut. xxxii. 14)and the milk of sheep (Prov. xxvii. 27). Cows' milk is rarely mentioned (comp. Deut. l.c.), probably because of its scarcity owing to the unsuitability of the mountainous country of Palestine for pasturing large cattle. Milk was received in buckets (Job xxi. 24) and kept in skins (Judges iv. 19), and was used as a refreshing drink at meals (Gen. xviii. 8)

I dunno. I still think God prohibited bacon for a reason, and I'm not convinced of any health benefits. Modern "science" gets a lot of things wrong.LOL is that funny? Doctors use to subscribe smoking cigarettes.
They used to think eggs were bad.
They used to think pork was bad.
They used to think bread was good.
People use to take salt tablets.
Now they think sugar causes diabetes.
If God blessed it for food, good enough for me. Just nothing strangled or with blood left in it...and food offered to idols (not quite sure what that means other than, something like sitting at a table with say, a rock star, or a movie star who gets all kinds of praises and worship from lost humans)LOL is that funny? Some of us are old enough to remember when they thought some things where good and something’s were bad...and then now it is different. I am not Jewish.I dunno. I still think God prohibited bacon for a reason, and I'm not convinced of any health benefits. Modern "science" gets a lot of things wrong.
Out of most common meats, I think pork is the one most susceptible to parasites and diseases, which is why I mentioned it.I am not Jewish.
At one point God thought it was right for fathers to sell their daughters as sex slaves.
Pork had it own problems without refrigeration. Really meat, in the desert....I am surprised the Hebrews were not vegetarians.
And science can be hit or miss as I pointed out. And fad concepts regarding food and diets are hard to keep up with.
Sugary cereals are bad but pot has health benefits.
Out of most common meats, I think pork is the one most susceptible to parasites and diseases, which is why I mentioned it.
I think you are misquoting God with the reference to allowing fathers to sell daughters as sex-slaves. Are you referring to a particular passage? I know there were financial penalties for sex outside of marriage, but nowhere does God condone or permit sex-slavery. He required the death penalty for the worst cases of rape, and even for adultery, so hard to envisage the same God allowed sex-slavery.
Definitely agree sugar is a toxin, and cannabis (in correct dosages for the correct reasons) is a better medicine than most of what can be bought at a pharmacy. But I think modern "science" errs more on the side of being wrong, than being right.
