There are those who scoff at the rapture(caught up). They accuse those of thinking that there is an escape of the Great Tribulation as "escapism". But Jesus called it JUST THAT worthy to ESCAPE.
Luke 21:36
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Rather the rapture is actually taken off the earth or being lifted up as in authority and stored in a safe barn of the Lord's is not clear. Noah was lifted up from the SEA of destruction in the ark, but was still on the earth.
But those caught up to God's throne Rev.12:5 shall be those who are WORTHY of ESCAPE and to rule and reign with Christ.
Many have died since Jesus even though they were saved and I believe that many who pass on in this time may be being spared from the wrath to come if they remained in faith, but did not make holiness or martyr'ed for the Word's sake.
I do not believe that people who force the ungodly to kill them by provoking them to harm them are truly martyr's for a true believer is not to provoke to anger, but to boldly speak the Word of truth for uplifting the hearer, not so they will kill them.
This is the same as those who have a WILLING HEART to blow themselves up to kill all the souls around them thinking they are doing it for God and it may be bringing judgment to them, but it is not a work of those IN Christ. But if one has a inkling in their heart to do evil, God can and WILL use them for judgment purposes yet they too will suffer for their willing heart in the FIRST place.
Rev 17:17
17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

There is now and is soon to be a time where men are hoarding up guns and their own provisions to protect themselves against the day of God's Wrath... however they error for they will be fighting against God and ARE now fighting against God in war having the heart to kill so God has filled their heart to do so being one taken (summoned to war), one left, to the sword that God will make them fight against their own neighbor till they kill each other off having taken the mark of THE BEAST nature. But those who refuse the mark, rather it be to steal, kill, destroy, lie, cheat etc....shall be left for the meek shall inherit the rest of the world OUTSIDE of the City Heavenly Jerusalem that will be for those worthy to rule and reign holy and pure undefiled as the children of God.

21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

These who inherit the Bride(The heavenly Jerusalem the City) shall be the VIRGINS that were ready when Jesus came for his HOLY BODY the MAN CHILD born in one day and chosen generation, holy priesthood the elect of God that were the best wine saved till last for the wedding supper(Great Supper of God Armageddon) Whom served, but after having their CLAY vessel being emmersed in the living water they will now be those who ARE SERVED.
