"zipzaddle, post: 431845, member: 7923"]God wants to remind you that He sees you as complete in Christ… perfect!
So God only "sees us" as a new creation?
God sees us just as we really are. The only people that can be fooled as to our true condition...is ourselves.
Not only has He decided to no longer look at your mistakes, but they have simply…disappeared (Colossians 2:14)! So, even if He wanted to look for them, He wouldn’t find them. (Hebrews 10:17)
Your sins are not just hidden, buried, beneath a white garment. No! In Christ, you are truly made perfect.
The Bible says that by “one offering He has perfected forever and completely cleansed those who are being sanctified [bringing each believer to spiritual completion and maturity].” (Hebrews 10:14)
Perfect in Him…forever…
Since the day you accepted Jesus, and for all eternity, you are perfect.
We are cleansed at regeneration...but we get dirty again because we are babes. We meed to learn to conduct ourselves in faith and faithfulness into a mature man. But we are not perfected from the beginning. We have to work out our salvation..if perhaps we would save our souls entirely.
And this work has nothing to do with your abilities, talents, or good works… No, it’s simply that Jesus took all your sins upon Himself on the cross and gave you His perfection, His garment without spot or blemish, in return.
What an overflow of thanksgiving can now spring forth from your mouth! You and I are perfect, even in our human imperfection, because Jesus gave us His perfection. Glory to God!
Thank you Jesus for being perfect for me ...
We enter into His perfection only as we surrender our lives in order to take on His. This is by no means automatic. The kingdom of God costs everything to take hold of. That is the nature of a spiritual life. You can't rely on the strength of the flesh AND be spiritual in Christ at the same time.
