A point that stood out to me from Sunday's sermon this week.

- Are you being pruned?
- What good fruit are you producing?
- Why are you being pruned?
- What does being pruned look like from a practical view?
- What gets pruned (cut away) and what is left?

John 15:1-2 NIV
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.
2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit,
while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a]
so that it will be even more fruitful.

/
While it is true we are to bear fruit.................[Rom 6:22 KJV] 22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

John 15 is not directed to us, but rather, Jesus was speaking to his disciples

[Jhn 15:7 KJV] 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Above is the rest of what Jesus said about abiding in him

This verse does not apply to us in the church, the body of Christ......we are not promised to have done whatever we ask

What good fruit are you producing?
[Mat 7:19-20 KJV] 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Jesus said this in the sermon on the mount and was directed to Israel not us

Israel was to produce good fruit to be known among their brethren.

Israel was to recognize false brethren by their fruit, not so for us. We are not fruit inspectors of other believers to determine if they are true Christians.

Why resort to lies? Do you believe lying is sinful and that Jesus encourages you to do that?
Do you believe that Jesus was punished for all your sins and so there is no sin you can commit that has not already been punished and paid for?

1 Ti 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

As Paul said of himself,

1Ti 1:13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

And Paul also said,

Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

As Paul also says,

Gal 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father

Who also told us,

Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

But Hebrews also tells us

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Heb 10:7 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Because as we know Jesus hates iniquity Hebrews 1:9 as Paul tells us again

Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Who will Jesus not know, but them that work iniquity as is shown here

Matt 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Because the Lord knoweth them that actually are his as Paul says also

2 Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

So we have Paul's words which say, "Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity"

or Jesus words concerning them (which are shown as naming his name) which have not departed from the same (Iniquity) unto whom he said, "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

I did, I did so more completely than you have asked
and you rlast line you made up stuff and squashed it together in poor exegesis
The last few lines are simply summarizing the last two verses posted, which were these

In otherwords, "depart from iniquity (as Paul had said) or wait for Jesus to say depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

I did, I did so more completely than you have asked
Nothing you have written touched on what I asked you. Here it is again:
Do you believe that Jesus was punished for all your sins and so there is no sin you can commit that has not already been punished and paid for?
or do you believe that Jesus did not die for all your sins and you can sin your way out of heaven. don't throw lots of verbage and quote massive verses. give me an answer from you based on what you believe of the Scriptures.
Matt 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Because the Lord knoweth them that actually are his as Paul says also
Jesus NEVER knew these. They were NOT once children of God and then were tossed out of the family.

As it is written so I believe

1 Cr 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures

As I have posted so I believe

Gal 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father

As it is written so I believe

Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

As I posted so I believe

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

As I have posted so I believe

2 Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Even as I also believe if we depart not from iniquity I believe the words of Jesus here to the same

Matt 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Jesus NEVER knew these. They were NOT once children of God and then were tossed out of the family.
I am not arguing the the fact that Jesus knows them, I posted he does NOT know them

Jesus NEVER knew these. They were NOT once children of God and then were tossed out of the family.
I believe the scripture I posted which are aparently are not good enough, I am supposed to believe the scriptures, and as I believe I am suppose to speak, and if I speak I should speak the oracles of God.

I will quote this once again for you

Matt 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Nothing in that verse says he knows these

So we have Paul's words which say, "Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity"

Your verse is not suggesting that if you dont depart from your carnality, that you lose your Salvation.

Its talking about discipleship.......and how to live it.

Paul explains it also like this..

"Present your body as a living Sacrifice, To God".....

or Jesus words concerning them (which are shown as naming his name) which have not departed from the same (Iniquity) unto whom he said, "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

Those in your verse were not Chrisitans.....they were just followers of Jesus (disciples).

Jesus will never tell a Son-Daughter of God to "depart" as the Christian is "IN Christ, and Christ is in them.
That's an eternal relationship that is based on The Cross of Christ, and its maintained the same way.
Its a Gift of Salvation........and you cant earn Salvation, as its a Gift from God.

You dont understand the verses you post.

So, let me ask you a question and try not to dodge it........as Episkopos and St.Steven both ran from it, and are still running.

I'll think better of you for now...., until you try to dodge it, or deflect it, or similar.
Maybe you wont. @Truly

So, the Q...

Do you believe that Jesus who saved you, keeps you saved no matter your behavior after you are saved ??

I reason out of the scripture (not out of my head) or other peoples heads, so try not to dodge my request this time concerning what specific scripture speaks specifically of this.

Every single verse you've ever posted on any Forum, that you didnt explain,, but you just "cut and pasted it".

A.) All of those.
Ofcourse, I copy pasted them out of my own studies, I always do that, why would I tediously retype everything I studied, that would be a waste of time.

You post in strange sentences scattered all over the place, very difficult to read and I do not find that helpful at all. So hand typing things isnt doing your posts any more justice.

You dodged my question 2x.. that i posted to you before you asked me your question.
And i answered your question......i said that every verse you post that you dont explain.......you dont understand..

Now, did you want to dodge my question again for the 3x?

Episkopos dodged it 10x
St. Steven dodged it 8X, so far.

So, I'll post it to you again..

@Truly Do you believe that Jesus who saved you, keeps you saved no matter your behavior after you are saved ??

People who understand God's Grace, wont have any issue with "the way i post".
Whereas Legalists and cultists, will have a lot of issues with my posts.
