@Taken Sounds then like you guys all feel it's rather fun to tease about getting inked up.....Yes. Teasing is ‘our’ family thing. No one is immune.

@LadyofFireandLace I agree basically about what you say about personal friendliness and kindness and testimony.Paul Washer said, "If the church uses carnal means to draw carnal men, it will be forced to continue and even grow in carnality in order to keep them."
Isn't it more personal and drawing to a person to just reach out and be kind; to act and be a person that gives them a sense of peace?
That open heartedness seems like a good conversation starter.
It isn't that I regret it but I just don't really care.@LadyofFireandLace I agree basically about what you say about personal friendliness and kindness and testimony.
Sounds also that you now maybe regret your tattoo a bit more than you did maybe some months ago?
@LadyofFireandLace Oh yes, well kind of like men already did years ago, it can seem rather sensible indeed to women that are inked up to treat their inkings in a matter-of-fact way; like, having gone for it, now just move on............It isn't that I regret it but I just don't really care.
It's on the back of my neck and I never see it so I don't think about it. I've only been asked about it a few times.

Thanks, @SERVANTedu I take your general point. I was really thinking of the words of Scripture; which can become a silent witness or a talking point when the wearer wishes to use them as such. My wife and I talked to a young lady with the whole of the wording of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area; it was her favorite Bible verse and mine also and I'm sure other conversations have arisen as a result of her willingness to use the tattoo parlor in this way.
My hesitation is to go the way of legalism; some hardline legalists might want to give young ppl a hard time because they have a Bible ref. tattooed on a wrist or because they have studs in their ears, or whatever. Hardliners do exist.
Thanks for your comments.I watched a news item on the TV the other night and the report was highlighting a new Ambulance paramedic who was going through their training who was heavily tattooed, particularly on his face and neck.
More of the nurses that I work with have tattoos than do not. On my shift, only three don't have them (of 13 nurses). We have several nurses (including myself) who have visible tattoos; one gal has them on her wrists.
@Taken Yes; it's well established to do this.I can understand people using tats as witness tools, as they have been for eons...
it is becoming a norm with health professionals...It is becoming a tool people are using to let others identify their faith. ..I do like the idea of Christian based tattoos
Thanks, @SERVANTedu ; I'm not familiar with the exact example you mentioned; but you can see how for so many Christian young men and women, when the age of 18 and beyond comes round, to become inked up adults with a witness-friendly tattoo - even a very small one - can seem very compelling.@farouk watching the documentary "what is a woman" and I just noticed that Matt Walsh has the PX Christogram on his forearm.
@L3astAm0ngManyB13ss3d I'm sure they must have, else otherwise you maybe wouldn't now be strongly intentioned to receiving more, and soon.Yes they have healed well, thank you.
@shortangel Yes, as a thread, @L3astAm0ngManyB13ss3d 's one has really taken off....yep i sure did see her post

Tattoo artists sometimes say that the skill is going down just far enough with the needles pumping ink, but not too far down. Seems like your artist knew exactly what he was doing.
@L3astAm0ngManyB13ss3d Sounds like your artist puts you at ease, as he injects the ink. This very young artist was so calm and assured, I could NOT be less.....
For one so young but that has already been on his own for 6 yrs he was impressive.
One tat he had on his outer forehead near his temple was " courage". He said every morning when he looked at it it reminded him yes he could........
Very mature.
I have had so many deep vein blood draws that in my mind that's how far I thought he might go.......lol
I hardly bleed and I'm on blood thinners and the pain was way less than a finger stick !
