Maybe this has already been addressed, but just in case, we have some citing the scripture that speaks of the four corners of the earth, and others cite the scripture that says God sits on the circle of the earth. So which is it I wonder? ;) Does a circle have corners? Or how can an object with corners be circular in shape? This example alone shows that there are things in scripture that are just in a manner of speaking and not to be taken literally....God uses poetic, spiritual language, and often hyperbole as well.

I believe every word of God is true, but we need to understand the intention of the Author with what He has had written and not take everything so literally.

There is only one Truth. God's Truth. In the world there are lots of lies from the enemy. So if we believe that the globe is a lie from the enemy, it can be said its a satanic lie. I do believe the earth is around 6000 years old. According to the Bible and also scientifically it says that we live on a young earth. If we go by the science that does not follow an agenda. Have you ever flown from NY to Europe?
Do you believe the plane goes straight across the Atlantic from, let's say NY - Paris.
Or do you believe the plane goes NORTH?

We'd have to ask why it goes North in its flight path but I believe the reply will not interest you.

I don't think this has anything to do with our Christianity which is why I hesitate to debate it.

Thats fine. I am just a born-again Christian that comes from a scientific background sharing my beliefs like everyone else here. I did not come from a christian background, I was an atheist. I am with the Lord for 5 years. Praise Him. And yes, I did fly from Europe to Boston and other US places and I always wondered there is something wrong with the flight routes, but didn't know why. Now I know why. God bless

You call God's creation imperfect, just because you do not understand certain things. The way God made everything is just a perfect calendar. And our lack of understanding doesn't take away from His perfect creation

I might argue that creation isn't perfect yet, only temporal......God only called creation "good", not perfect. It has to "die" first in order to become perfect (renewed).

it's the route that makes sense if the earth is a globe.

The true scientists, aviationists, and such forth who know, must keep quiet or they are blacklisted and slandered to destroy any credibility of that which they know = as well as loss of employment = permanently in their fields.

These two are not correct.

Believing the words of God does not equal fruit of the Holy Spirit. It potentially means salvation, but not even that, for Satan and demons believe the words of God also. Fruit of the Holy Spirit is rather what the Holy Spirit assigns or prompts one to do, which may be good or evil works from good or evil men, and vice versa.

As for NASA, it is more and more obvious that you are as much as obsessed with their works, even blindly so. Which explains a lot. But truthfully, believing NASA--if their actions are ever fully known--simply, potentially makes one a victim, even innocent, as a child is innocent that believes people who's actions should be good when they are not.

I was a ball earther my whole life. God has showed me the truth and I will never go back to the lie. What God's Word says is true, not what people say. If God's Word would say its a spinning ball, I would still believe that. But God's Word says otherwise. We should always believe God's Word, if it contradicts with our belief system, then we can pray about it, but we should never put our understanding above the Word. The same with spiritual things, If we feel God says something to us, it has to align with scripture. If there is contradiction, we go with what God says in His Word.
