Except you don’t. You believe
your interpretation of what the Bible says.
Job 37:3 Under the whole heaven he lets it go, and his lightning to the corners of the earth.
According to your method of interpretation, the earth here is described as a polygon of unknown number of sides.
Isa 11:12 He will raise a signal for the nations and will assemble the banished of Israel, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
Rev 7:1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow on earth or sea or against any tree.
Rev 20:8 and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.
According to your method of interpretation, the earth in those passages is described as a polygon of four sides.
It seems to me that since polygons are mentioned four times and a circle only once, that the earth is more likely to be a polygon, according to your reasoning.
Or, what is most likely, especially since God is everywhere, Isa. 40:22 and all the passages above are speaking metaphorically. The earth is a sphere and if God were to be sitting above it, it would appear as a circle.
