(Agape;29530)
Exactly, Adam and Eve had sons and daughter that are not mentioned or named in Genesis. I think you are finally catching on!
There is no need to get snippy as I never said othersie. I didn't have to "catch on." That fact is clearly stated in His Word....Genesis 5:4
And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:
The Word DOES NOT say God created another group of humans other than Adam and Eve "in the beginning" and to add them because you cannot accept the fact that all of man descended from Adam is to mishandle the Word of God.
Of course it says other humans were created. They were created on the 6th day. I cannot accept that all men are descended from Adam as it would be impossible. You cannot get the different races from one geneological tree.
There is one thing you did state and documented from Bullinger concerning Genesis 4:26 and I agree. In Enos' day the profanation of the name Jehovah took root. Seth and his son, Enos, were God-fearing men. Their line represented the believers, the called of God, the righteous ones.
That isn't what I said. Bullinger stated that
Enos, though the son of Seth is included here because he went in the way of Cain. Enos was included in the geneology of Cain because of that. Notice that Seth and Enos were again named in the geneology of Adam (Cain isn't there) So...their line did represent righteous ones but apparently not Enos himself.
The point I was making, however, is that Cain is not mentioned in the generations of Adam because Christ could not come out of Cain's line since he was of the devil, a murderer. Cain did not call on the
name of the true God
Are you saying that you understand the father of Cain was Satan?
Since you bring up Bullinger, have you read his notes on Genesis 1 adn 2?
Yes I have and I noted his note on 1:28.
them - the actual building of Eve not till 2:20-23. He was wrong there just as he was wrong about rapture.
Also, the line of Seth was not pure due to sin. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was conceived in Mary' by God's "creation" of life in Mary's womb. The divine conception of Jesus Christ is by supernatural laws and the birth by natural law. The soul life of Jesus was sinless, pure, because it was not contaminated by the life of man which is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11).
I don't understand what you mean when you say, "
the line of Seth was not pure due to sin."
To you maybe, but not to God.
Genesis 1:27, 28, 31 --- So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
God created both male and female, Adam and Eve, in His image, Spirit.
Verse 28 --- And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply ...."
According to verse 27, God created man in His image and likeness (1:26). God's image and likeness is Spirit according to John 4:24. God could communicate with Adam and Eve. The usage of "them" in verse 27 is a figure of speech called
prolepsis, meaning "to know before it happens that it will happen and speaking of future things as present realities." God knew that Adam and Eve would be fruitful and that they would multiply.
If you wish to believe that was Adam and Eve in those scriptures no one will be upset, but.....that is not what they are telling you.
Verse 31 ---And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
According to God - God saw
everythingt hat he had made and behold it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the
sixth day.Genesis 2:1-3 --- Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
The heavens and the earth were finished/completed and all the host/all that it contained.
Verse 2 --- And on [by] the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
After the end of the first six days God ended/finished His work that He had made and rested/ceased from His work which He had made.
Verse 3 --- And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
You stopped before the time of Adam....
and there was not a man to till the ground....And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground... [Gen.2:5]
Genesis 1:1-2:3 is a summary of God's creation of the heavens and the earth.Believe whatever you like, whirlwind, but it won't change what is truly written in the Scriptures..God bless you, :angel3:Agape
Nothing either of us say or believe will change His Word. Have you ever wondered why there is only one Book and so many different interpretations? It must be that He knows how to keep us discussing it!God bless you too Agape :angel3:.......Whirlwind
