God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong?

What does it mean God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise?

Shame the strong

Think of a powerfully built body builder with an impressive physique who can easily dead lift 400 pounds.

Most would consider this description to represent "strength".

Yet think of this powerful bodybuilder as lacking the physical strength to pick up a book and read for learning purposes. A child could pick up a book and read to learn things. Yet many bodybuilders and athletes could never pick up a book and read no matter how hard they tried.

The way people think of concepts like strength can often become twisted, by conformity to the way of the world, to a point where it represents weakness and foolishness. In this way, God does not necessarily seek to shame the strong, but they may well succeed in shaming themselves on their own time.

Shame the wise

Think of scientists who primarily seek attention and to impress others.

They overemphasize impressive sounding buzzwords. They hop on trendy pseudo intellectual bandwagons. All of their discussion and talking points revolve around the most high level abstractions and terminology they can conceive of.

Yet their typical fatal flaw is lacking a good grasp of basic fundamentals. They have not developed basic logic, common sense or critical thinking.

There are many so called "intellectuals" and "internet influencers" on the internet who are considered very intelligent by most. Who make basic mistakes and fail to solve fundamental logical problems that a 12 year old would be expected to know the answer to.

In this way the wise might be shamed by failing to comprehend basic concepts of water being wet.

Branching out from the original thread as I do not want my post buried and unseen.

And would enjoy feedback and commentary if anyone would be inclined to offer some.
