Your job is to make everyone else positive......good luck! Will do. So long as I can keep negative influences from overwhelming my ability to remain a positive one : )

Looks like my grandson's face at the haunted house. Humor is the shield and knowledge is the sword!Good luck is right, LoL. Actually, I may need more than luck. I may need prayer.
But at least I can laugh about it.

Great. I'm already back to posting pictures.... old habits die hard, I guess.
I only started 6 threads, but a recent one I started wasn't noted. Boo! Hiss! I am not good at starting threads... Folks just don't respond. Guess it's just not my talent.

You have been greatly missed. ( or has it been me who has been missing? )
I was going to drop you a line to see how you are doing these days.
Hope all is going well.
Good to see you again! :)
Some of the old threads ( which is most) have hundreds of posts in them ...and I find boring..
Son of a gun! And I thought I was just told I never started any threads, and that I was always negative in anything I posted. I must have missed the negativity in all those threads. (27 threads? I think that averages out to a taste more than one a month.)
That's true, and there are those who will make themselves controversial to get affirmations (pos or neg).Actually, it also involves stroking people's fur the wrong way as well, or just a little anyway. You're almost guaranteed to get a response if you "drum up" interest by ending it with a theological cymbal crash to someone's face, LoL.
Albeit "unintentionally," of course.![]()
Me too!So, when I come on here, I always look for the threads which have the least amount of responses...first.
I like to drop in to see what the discussion has turned into, since odds are the thread's been hijacked by then!I prefer shorter/newer threads myself as well. The minute I see a 50 page thread, I think "What's the use? How in the world can I catch up on 50 pages worth of responses to something?" So I just avoid them and move on to something I might actually stand a chance of being up-to-date on.

I do know about that!Yeah. Controversy merely for controversy's sake is just incitement, or someone looking for attention.
I'm talking more about tipping over the sacred cows of people whose theology is (unfortunately) woefully "off base."

I do know about that!
Much love!
Well, I don't know about the picture. But when one becomes a bit more pointed in one's posts, hoping to draw another out, it can get one ignored.Like my cow picture? I bet Chic Fillet could use an image like that.
I would email it to their Ad execs... only it smacks of Hinduism, so I guess that rules it out. What a shame.
