I think that I actually have to agree with this, based on what I taught before.

Commentary on Romans. (posted April 18, 2019)

At that time I was also attempting to teach what @Behold teaches (before he came on the scene); but when he came on the scene and started teaching it himself, I saw in the teaching a contradiction to what I really believed in.

Yes, I was in all of it attempting to teach what I felt I most needed; which was complete deliverance from the power of indwelling sin.

I have seen much of what he teaches in scripture long before he ever came on the scene; but with the problem of 1 John 1:8 muddling the picture.

So, when he started teaching it as fact, I sought to draw out of him the reasoning why 1 John 1:8 does not apply.

The reasons that he gave were not good enough for me.

Going back and looking at what I taught about Romans 5:11, though, along with a recent experiential understanding of Colossians 2:11 (as I finally prayed it into existence in my own life with agreement from my wife), it is all coming into focus.

I do believe that the Lord takes these truths into our hearts gradually and that they will not take full root until after we have gained the victory. Before we do so, it is important that we believe what is written in 1 John 1:8 because that is what it means to walk in the light as one who has indwelling sin.

I find the NLT's rendering of Colossians 2:11 fascinating:

Col 2:11, When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature.

This has been processing in my mind for quite some time.

I believe that we right now have everything we need for life and godliness, and all that is required is that we trust in Jesus to make it so.

But I've seen so many times the truthfulness in these words, be it to you according to your faith.

You're flesh has been cut away. So why do you still hold so tightly to claim it as your own?

Much love!

Amen. I do not believe that I need to claim it as my own.

However, I believe that it is important to keep a balance in sharing the scriptures with other people; who may or may not have the victory over the flesh.

The truth of these scriptures comes in gradually and if a denial of indwelling sin comes too soon, it can be detrimental to the mind.

It can result in rejecting the conviction of the Holy Spirit when He pinpoints sin in a person's life.

It's the truth that sets you free.

What are you saying here?

"a denial of indwelling sin comes to soon"? Do you or don't you?

And . . . "Indwelling sin" as a term from Scripture, let's explore this. Are you deriving this term from Romans 7? What passages would you point to telling us about "indwelling sin", in particular using those words. And if other words are used, maybe we should use them?

Much love!

You asked me 2x, on different occasions, if i fornicate.
Something is wrong with you, and i want to remind you of that fact.

I only asked you once that I recall. I explained that it is the MOST COMMON sin that even Christians commit.

That you commit?

You are assuming its common for Christians.
Not the ones i know, as they are real.

I'm 73, and the last man I kissed was my husband in 2001. But, worldwide, it is the most common. Just ask a Catholic priest.

No its lying. Here is why as people lie about so many things other than fornication. To be fornicator/adulterer one has to be living in deceit and lying to others. So before the act they are already lying to themselves and others.

hope this helps !!!

Yes, you are right. Lying is common to @Behold for sure.

No Quotes, no proof.........again.
You're doing the devil's work of casting false doubt because you are unable to do anything else.
Just to be clear I was only pointing out the greater sin as far a universal application.

I was not pointing out any finger in judgment.

If possible i'l avoid anything related to the Mary Cult.

And fornication is not the most common sin practiced by anyone.
Lying, or envy, or hatred, or laziness, would be #1.
See, its much easier to commit a sin inside yourself, then it is to commit it with someone else if you are an unbeliever.
And if you are a believer, then the carnal deeds or works of the flesh you commit, would be internal mind issues, as #1.

Thank you and no worries.
I was speaking to Charismaticlady, as she likes to accuse me without any proof.
it's her ministry.
