ok I just wanted to drop in and say hello, and introduce myself.
Just a few things about me .
My name is Bill
I am a former atheist recovered drunk and addict .
I was saved by grace in 2003 .
My favorite things are time spent with my family that includes my family in Christ.
Reading scripture is also top of my list . I am never with out my Bible.
I enjoy reading about Church history and the writings of the early Christians.
I try to premote the reading of scripture everywhere I go.
Well that’s just a little bit about me.
Blessings
Bill

Hello and thanks for the post . I have a question or two .
How did prayer and Bible reading lead to you not taking responsibility for your actions?
Scripture clearly says we are responsible for all that we do .
That said I believe that you were thinking for yourself much longer than you believe.
I shall keep you in prayer.
Blessings
Bill

Hi, I'm a former Christian recovered porn and alcohol addict who couldn't control his temper. I found that after I stopped reading the bible and praying to God to solve everything I took responsibility for my own life. Thing's are better now that I'm free to think for myself.

Because I believed that only Jesus could change my behavior. Now is not true?

What are you doing responding in a Christian welcome area? You are nothing but a liar, and have nothing to offer here.

Hi Bill, and welcome to the forum! I too like reading about Church history and the early writers. I am currently reading Augustine's writings and about to read "Hear I Stand" (about Luther). I read it once but didn't finish it.

Id like to hear who some of your favorites are and any history recommendations you might have.

Not true as you state it . It is Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that equips us to deal with our moral failure. We are to use what He has equipped us with . Moral shortcomings like those you stated and the ones I had aswell are like the scriptures say are our fault . As for leaving the faith and being better off . Scripture says
Mathew 5:45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
Still keeping you in prayer
Blessings
