At the age of 45 I was down and out, lose job, nothing to fall back on, pity party and then find a job.
Found a job where a employee witnessed to me. Made me hungry for God. Bought bible on tape and read along with those tapes for couple of months. didn't really understand the word, but one evening I opened my bible and sit down to read. My wife had gone to bed. A few minutes later, not sure how long, while reading bible God started talking to me through scripture. I have written the message down so I can go back and read it, but I have never had too.
I knew God had saved me. My wife and son joined be in becoming regular members of church. Baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost.

Couple or three years later my son asked me what I knew about preterism. He asked me to give him my opinion on it. After putting a lot of study in how to interpret the bible I was able to tell my son that it could be true and treat is just like any other prophecy. Told him it was not a salvation issue, so believe it or not.

With some knowledge on interpretation of bible i started looking at other bible stories that were not clear to me.

These things are what I will post, with scriptural proof. What I have discovered is not salvation issues but answers to what had not been explained to my satisfaction.

awesome, i hope you keep an open mind and dont let your beliefs ever become Absolute Truths, like most of us seem to do. Facts and proof dont seem to hold up too well in spiritual matters, at least imo. "Salvation" might not be at all like you are currently defining it even, and etc, imo. When you get tired of Hermen meet Lex, imo too :)

and welcome to the forum, lotta iron sharpening iron going on here, imo lets not forget that water melts it all eventually eh

    Greetings in Christ, Hermeneutics!

I am not a preterist, but I believe that when each of us sets out down the road to seek more accurate understandings of scripture, we are each walking the path to growing closer to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Word of God Himself.

Blessings in Christ to you, and welcome to Christianity Board!

Hermeneutics is living through the scriptures. Living and breathing it - making it your autobiography. We can do this through the Holy Spirit and by reading the Bible faithfully and by studying commentary, which is agreed upon hermeneutics.

never liked Hermen much, dunno why, sure seems like a good idea. Gone bad, somehow. The blind leading the blind, is mostly what i get from it. Hermens cant ever give me cogent replies, start playing Dodge Boys on me.

Most of my posts come from the fact that God is not the author of confusion and many the current explanations are confusing to me.

    For example:
Bones of man and animals are found to be much older than Adam's would be and that could only mean that God put those bones in the ground to bring confusion. If not, we have to accept the earth and animals in times past existed way before Adam and Eve were formed, and I say formed because the bible does not say Adam and Eve were created. If it doesn't say created then there has to be a difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2.

The devil's children have been here on earth since Cain.
Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.
1Jn 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother.

Having read some of book in the 'Wars of the Jews', I came to the conclusion that the devil's children were in Jerusalem and in control of the Temple at the time the Roman's destroyed it. I recommend it.

Because of little explanation of the above, I have had to research much of it from other people's posting on the internet.

I have concluded that if it makes sense, then it is true and can be explained from scripture.

Again, I want to point out that what I post is not salvation issues, but it is for your consideration.

never heard of the book. As you said for consideration...same here. (Romans 2:16-29)...specially “For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: [29] But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” There are two there: outward and inward ...which war Galatians 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

was going to post the verses where Christ said who their father was but you have probably read them? Here is a question though: Revelation 2:9-10 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. [10] Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

“Behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried” ...did Saul cast any into prison?
War of the Jews? Acts 8:1-4 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. [2] And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. [3] As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. [4] Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.

War of the Jews? Acts 26:14-18 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. [15] And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.(Galatians 4:29) ...[16] But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; [17] Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, [18] To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

point is: “Behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried.” Which Saul did casting some of you in prison. Even Stephen Who. Was stoned calling on the Name of the Lord.

Saul/Paul made a minister and a witness delivered from “theses things which thou hast seen” come to past (darkness) and of those things (ahead) which Light of the Revelation of “Christ” shall appear.
    (Revelation 1:17-19)
....“...to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God” ...from darkness to light, from the power of Satan unto God which would include all with none exempt even if claiming to never have been ruled by darkness or the power of Satan.

we all say that at one point, herm; its crap ok, no offense. I can even pr...demonstrate the point if you like, Quote one Scripture that is clear as to meaning if you will. Now you might certainly pick Jesus wept or whatever, but i mean a substantial one, i suggest the first one that comes to mind maybe
may i suggest--just a suggestion--that, like many other concepts that we come to believe we know, and have firmly fixed in our minds, Absolute Truths to us now even, "confusion" is as subjective as most any other, "sin, good, evil, right, wrong," all those, at least.

"what is currently true will shortly be false" prolly
dunno why most of those returns are me, as that is a pretty well known phrase in certain circles, hmm
nice! Imo "6 days" should be understood in a diff light, but i also understand a new believer's strong desire to read literally. An older believer's desire to keep doing so, not so much,
how is it you did not know i was not talking about bread?
but anyway, imo test everything, and keep what is good right.
now fwiw--which is nothing imo--you might contemplate the dust "of the erets,"
    IMG_0389.JPG
and maybe an image of Yah,
    IMG_0365.JPG
or bam please blow my mind, i love that stuff, since ive been here ive learned the mark of cain, prolly,
    IMG_0485.PNG IMG_0391.JPG IMG_0392.JPG
and many other interps that just made sense. to me.
doesnt mean they will to you, and imo (now) that is ok, bc marching in files and rows,
and sitting in them listening to a guy who signed a frigging Contract for Jesus
501(6)c3(6)1023(6) are imo Roman inventions anyway
your cain slew your abel too i guess, works on more than one level, seems like anyway
No Son of Man may die for another's sins
Bible Search: Jesus died for our sins
Bible Search: Christ died for our sins
    big diff imo
    word

but imo dont let that blind you to the truth that "makes sense" is entirely subjective, ok.
going naked makes sense if you live in certain parts of Africa, right

    scattered bones bring to mind:

Psalm 53:5-6 There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them. [6] Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Ezekiel 6:5 And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

same here “since I’ve been here”. When I first came here to the board I still saw Jesus’ body hanging on the cross for all of eternity hence the screen name @VictoryinJesus instead of @VictoryinChrist and “Behold He lives!”
