I joined the forum last week hoping as one does for some interesting discussion & debate with other God loving people. As with all faith groups and any believing community there's always going to be the religious nut case, that see's themselves as the plum line of truth and has taken it upon themselves to straighten everybody out who doesn't agree with them.
Please dont sent me pages of Bible verses to validate your toxic behaviour and religious bigoted beliefs.
As previously said in another post no wonder those who dont know God keep away from the Church. OUCH.
I think Ill give it another week and see how things go, if the same levels of hostility continue from the religious pharisees on the forum, I'll be gone. Dont need to be around toxic people, when there are so many wonderful God loving people out there.
You should take any opposition as directed towards the OP of the thread as not a personal attack on you until they do attack you personally with name calling or an attack on your character.
When they do, you are allowed to report that post by that triangle sign with an exclamation point and the words "Report" next to it at the bottom left of each and every post.
Posters are allowed to give warnings to any one in error as the scripture can reprove such errors. That is showing concern for the body of Christ. If they do not heed the Biblical corrections or reproofs, then that is all anyone can do and just agree to disagree and withdraw from discussing further with such an individual in that thread.
Parents correct their children. Teachers correct their students. Teachers has been known to correct other teachers. Brotherly love corrects each other in seeking the good of the other in Christ.
I do not practice reporting when I should, just so you know, but you did start off kind of hostile in your OP and reads as an exaggeration.

If you are free to give summaries about the Bible in making your case, claiming to know the Bible, then maybe that is why some are posting half a dozen scriptural references to point out something you may be overlooking for whatever you are trying to present in having every one accept your conclusion as if it is true and that nobody can say anything otherwise about it for why you say don't quote Bible verses to me.

How is that not attacking your naysayers personally rather than sticking to the topic? So where is your love here?
You have been around the block of life enough to know that not every one will agree with you Biblically and you ought to see enough threads here to see that not every one agrees Biblically with each other either. We are to respect one another in not attacking nor defaming those we disagree with, but we all should be free to disagree with a topic and when it comes to proving all things; it is required by Him to do so by the scripture, and even warn others by the scripture of the consequences for not repenting. But by the grace of God, we stop there by not attacking the person with name calling or implying some sickness on their part or whatever. That sort of thing lends to biting and devouring.
We all prophesy in part and know in part, but loving one another is the second greatest commandment which also includes correcting one another.
Is it love to ignore a child that is about to drink a bottle of poison? Should the child consider the parent a bigot for reproving him so?
Just because someone attacks me personally for not keeping the sabbath day that I have to take it personally when I know better as to why I am guiltless for profaning the sabbath day, it is no reason for me to get mad. So as much as they feel obligated to correct me, I can only appeal to them with corrections and then warnings from scripture for sticking to judging others as guilty in that way, but thanks to Jesus in me, I am not offended because they know not what they do.
