So can we simply COUNT back to Sunday when Jesus rose and was seen, using His "three days and three nights" marker of Matthew 12? You bet we can!

And ONLY with His crucifixion being on a Wednesday (per Hebrew reckoning) does it work out properly...

1. Jesus crucified on the "preparation day" (Nissan 14), Wednesday evening, just prior to sunset.
2. 1st Night: Jesus' body in the tomb for the 1st night (sunset Wednesday which began Thursday. Night began at sunset and lasted till the morning, Thursday Nissan 15).
3. 1st Day: Thursday morning at dawn till Thursday sunset. At Thursday sunset would begin Friday Nissan 16. This was the 1st Day.
4. 2nd Night: Friday night till Friday dawn. 2nd Night.
5. 2nd Day: Friday dawn to Friday sunset. Friday sunset would begin Saturday Nissan 17.
6. 3rd Night: Saturday night till Saturday dawn. 3rd Night.
7. 3rd Day: Saturday dawn to Saturday sunset. Saturday sunset would begin Sunday Nissan 18.
8. The "three days and three nights" complete at Saturday sunset. Sometime after Saturday sunset, on Sunday, Lord Jesus rose, and was seen Sunday morning early.

31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
KJV

Jesus was crucified on the "preparation day", per the Exodus 12 requirement on the 14th of Nissan, at evening when the lamb was to be killed. That day ended at sunset Wednesday. From Wednesday sunset to Thursday sunset was the 1st sabbath, the high day of the feast. The first day of the feasts of Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacle begins with a "holy convocation", a sabbath (see Leviticus 23:7; 24; 35; Exodus 12:16).

There ya go!....You finally got it! Christ was crucified on the preparation day, which was always on a Friday, before the Saturday Jewish Sabbath and for that year Passover also fell on a Saturday...the Jewish Sabbath. I knew you would get it!

Thinking that Lord Jesus was crucified on a Friday is an old Catholic tradition that came from their not understanding about the "high day" sabbath required in that same week per the original Exodus 12 requirement. The "high day" below, the first day of the feast, was to be a sabbath per Exodus 12, and it was NOT the normal weekly sabbath that would come later. This "high day" began at Wednesday sunset to Thursday sunset. This is why they rushed to bury Lord Jesus' body in the tomb before sunset on Wednesday (Nissan 14), because the "high day" (Nissan 15) was fast approaching right at sunset.

John 19:30-31
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said, "It is finished": and He bowed His head, and gave up the ghost.

Then starting at Thursday sunset would begin Friday. Then at Friday sunset would begin the regular weekly sabbath of Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. Then sometime after sunset Saturday, which would begin Sunday, Lord Jesus rose from the dead and appeared in the early morning Sunday.

LOL You so funny....the word preparation does not appear in the book of Exodus.

I am Christian so the Old Testament….Judaism does not define my religion and I do not believe in mixing Judaism and Christianity because as Christ said, it would ruin both.

But that does not mean that the Old Testament is not important. If you are not a student of the Old Testament and Judaism, there are things about the New Testament and Christianity that you are not going to understand.

Preparation Day is attached to the weekly Saturday Jewish Sabbath....which mean that it occurs every week and always on Friday.
If you think you can move the day around to fit your schedule....you are wrong. Christ was crucified on the Preparation Day.... Friday....end of story. Why did they call it Preparation Day....because there was a lot of things you could not do on the Saturday Sabbath and they had to prepare for that. And yes Saturday comes once a week.

The Passover is a different story. It occurs once a year. Passover usually does not fall on a Saturday.....it can fall on different days of the week. That is why our date for Easter moves around. Passover occurs at the first full moon after the Vernal Equinox and Easter occurs on the first Sunday after that. So the date moves around a little.

Preparation Day is not attached to the Passover. But Christ was crucified on Preparation Day that always occurs on Friday. So quite trying to move it around during the week, it only occurs on a Friday.

FYI...the day before Passover is not called the Preparation Day but there is a lot of preparations going on. On the day preceding the Passover Seder meal (or on Thursday morning preceding the Seder meal the firstborn sons are commanded to celebrate the Fast of the Firstborn which commemorates the salvation of the Hebrew firstborns.

What they do next is remove all leavened food products (known as chametz) from their home before the holiday begins and abstaining from them throughout the duration of Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread. Instead of bread, religious Jews eat a type of flatbread called matzo.

Then they slaughtered the lambs or goats and wiped the blood on their doorways and then cook and prepare the Passover Seder meal. The slaughtered animal must be eaten entirely.

You're being obnoxious, you well know it's impossible for the "preparation day" to be Friday.

You need to learn something about the facts. Preparation Day can only be on Friday because it is always the day before the Jewish Saturday Sabbath....every week....every Friday. And Christ was crucified on the Preparation Day. Preparation Day is not directly connected to the Passover, but since the Saturday Jewish Sabbath is going to occur sometime during the Feast of Unleavened Bread that coincides with the Passover, the Preparation Day is going to occur the day before the Saturday Jewish Sabbath. Keeping mind that as I said before Passover is not always going to fall on the day of the Saturday Jewish Sabbath.

You still don't know what you're talking about, because the Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacle feasts were always to be preceded by a "holy convocation" where no servile work was to be done, meaning a SABBATH. And that is what the "high day" of John 19:31 is about there. At sunset, right after Jesus had died, would begin the "high day", meaning the FIRST DAY OF THE FEAST, a "holy convocation".

Ex 12:16
16 And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.

KJV

That is the "high day"...

John 19:31
31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

KJV

Did you read that? "(for that sabbath day was an high day).

THAT WAS NOT THE REGULAR WEEKLY SABBATH. That was the 1st day of the Passover feast, which was to be a "high day", a sabbath, but not the regular weekly sabbath.

Nissan 14 (our Wednesday) - Preparation day, Jesus crucified per the Exodus 12 requirement.
Nissan 15 (our Thursday) - the "high day", the 1st day of the feast, the "holy convocation", a high sabbath.
Nissan 16 - (our Friday) - the 2nd day of the feast.
Nissan 17 - (Friday sunset to Saturday sunset) - the regular weekly sabbath.
Nissan 18 - Jesus rose.

Again you need to find out what the Preparation Day is about.
Do you know what the Jewish Saturday Sabbath is....?
Do you know that it occurs every Saturday?
Do you think the Jewish Saturday Sabbath can occur without a Preparation Day?

Furthermore, as I have well shown, there is NO WAY the Friday crucifixion believers can account for Christ's "three days and three nights" beginning on a Friday, and ending on Sunday. It's stupid to even try to make that work. And the more they try to get you to believe, the more idiotic they make themselves look.

Nah, ... you NEED to READ YOUR BIBLE in Exodus 12 and HEED what God shows there about the Passover feast, particularly that the 1st day of the feast was to be a "holy convocation"! You just BYPASSED THE SCRIPTURES I POSTED AS PROOF about that "high day" not being the regular weekly sabbath.
