Perhaps we see sin differently. The Word says that if we fail to do something we should it's sin. If I fail to pray for my kids for a few hours, even when I know they have something difficult to go through, because I'm focused on my agenda, that may be a worse sin then something more obvious, like swearing or becoming angry with some one.Every true Christian has the Holy Spirit, but knowing about Jesus even the demons know, and wanting Him to save you from hell is wishful thinking if you remain a slave to sin. When we truly repent, THAT is when Jesus gives us His Spirit and we are no longer in the flesh but in the Spirit. The Spirit doesn't sin, nor leads us to sin, but always provides a way of escape, and the pure love we have for God causes us to hate sin. It no longer has any power over us. We are free indeed.
I suspect most of our worse sins are not even the ones we usually recognize.
