Need to see what they say their purpose is for the world order they have set up...
"Prescriptively, world order refers to a preferred arrangement of power and authority that is associated with the realization of such values as peace, economic growth and equity, human rights, and environmental quality and sustainability."

"The UN has created and developed peacekeeping operations as one of the measures to ensure international peace and security. "

"According to the Charter, the General Assembly can make recommendations on the general principles of cooperation for maintaining international peace and security, including disarmament, and for the peaceful settlement of any situation that might impair friendly relations among nations. "

And there it is, Apostle Paul's warning in 1 Thessalonians 5 that when 'THEY' shall say, "Peace and safety", then "sudden destruction" shall come upon 'THEM'!

1 Thess 5:2-3
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3 For
when they shall say, "Peace and safety"; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
KJV

That is not very far off now today. Those who support the globalist organizations like U.N. towards a "one world government" are exactly who Apostle Paul was pointing to in that 1 Thessalonians 5:3 verse.

Unless I'm mistaken, i don't think Hobie believes in a pre trib rapture
He certainly did at one time. I've had conversations with him before, long time ago.

And with his mocking Jesus' future "thousand years" reign in a recent previous post, I now must assume he now believes in man's false doctrine of 2nd century Gnostic Amillennialism, which denies Christ's future "thousand years" reign as being literal.

And there it is, Apostle Paul's warning in 1 Thessalonians 5 that when 'THEY' shall say, "Peace and safety", then "sudden destruction" shall come upon 'THEM'!
While they are saying: Peace and Safety:
This prophecy in 1 Thessalonians 5:3, goes on to tell us: then, sudden destruction will come upon them.

So we need to establish who are those who will say; ‘At last we have peace and safety’, and who the sudden destruction will fall upon.

We can be sure this is about the latter days, as it refers to the prophecy in Matthew 24:8 All these things are the birth pangs of the new age.

We also know that it will happen before Jesus Returns, as Paul tells us in 1Thessalonians 4:16 The Lord will come from heaven with a shout; the voice of an archangel and the trumpet of God.

Whereas at this sudden destruction, before the Return: He will come unexpectedly.

This event is obviously the multi prophesied Day of the Lord’s fiery wrath; the Sixth Seal worldwide disaster. The Lord will not be seen on that Day, He will SEND His fiery wrath. Amos 1, Psalms 11:4-6

The focal point of God’s Plan on earth, is the holy Land, the place His eyes are fixed upon. Deuteronomy 11:11-12

The situation there has been extremely volatile for many years, but just recently there has been a change, with the United Arab Emirates normalizing relations with the Jewish State of Israel. Also many other Middle East nations are overtly [instead of covertly] in diplomatic and trade discussions with Israel.
This considerable improvement toward stability and peace in the region, has resulted in many comments of optimism and hope for peace and safety at last for Israel and the Islamic peoples. Those diplomats and commentators are the first ‘they’.

EXCEPT for Iran and their proxies. Their Shi-ite version of Islam remains committed to the destruction of the Jewish people and the removal of Israel from the Middle East.

We see many prophecies which say how the Lord will destroy His enemies, Psalms 83, Micah 4:11-12 and Revelation 6:12-17, are the most specific. They all say that the Lord will take action when an attack upon Israel is commenced. He will not allow nukes to explode in His holy Land.

Therefore, ‘them’, are the peoples who hate Israel and attempt to wipe them off the map.

It WILL happen, God’s Word prophesies it and Satan is the force behind Islam, plus the leaders of Iran are facing revolution for their mismanagement and incompetence. They must act to retain power by diverting attention from themselves.

The prophecies of the end of the world point to or are always connected with the second coming of Christ. We see the disciples asking Christ...
“ . . . Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Matthew 24:3.
Christ goes down a list in verses 4-14..
"4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."

and in Luke 21 we see
“9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.” Luke 21:9-18.

And things within the church itself..
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3, 4.

A compromise of Gods truth will come into the church..
“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:3, 4.

Scoffers would come...
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” 2 Peter 3:3, 4.

And we would see even worse among the people..
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
2 Timothy 3:1-5.

People during the last days will be looking for fun and having parties and drinking with no restraints..
“And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” Luke 17:26-30.

Prophecy tells us this and foretells that there would be false christs trying to deceive, and we would see wars and rumor of wars, and they would try to proclaim peace but...

“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them.” 1 Thessalonians 5:3.

So we are seeing all these things and it looks like getting to the part of "sudden destruction cometh upon them.” So are we surprised, or is this what we expected with the intensity and force, and implementation of control that is happening?

What is missing in most people's understanding of what is meant by "end times", is that everything written about it in the scriptures are things that have occurred and do occur during all times since the beginning.

Of course, having said that this has evaded most people...certainly few if any will believe what they don't already believe. Yet, did Jesus not give an example of things occurring as described from the beginning with Noah, and since then with Lot, and then finish by telling His disciples that these same things would also come upon them, even until the end? Yes He did.

All of which makes for quite a different message, and it is that message that has been overlooked.

But go ahead--anyone, take them one at a time and if you would like to argue that sorrows, or wars, or hatred for one another, etc. do not exist from beginning to end...I would be glad to show you the error of such thinking.
