Sunny n cool n breezy. Had to make a trip to the city and retrieve my repaired phone. 2 hours each way. City traffic CRAZY!! Home now, where the air smells like Fall! :)

Thanksgiving Day in the US. Family get together. Praise God, Prayers of Thanks, Decorations, Food, football, games, more food, and desserts. Hugs, kissing, laughing.

It has been nice to just relax for Thanksgiving. My husband has had migraines last few days, so he has been resting, but I made some deviled eggs and my husband made hotdogs later. The kids eat that better anyway.
I have four days off! Hopefully get some cleaning done to get our tree up.

God told me that we were going to stand out for Him at Thanksgiving. But I thought that meant we would clash with older members of our family. Instead, we ended up sharing wisdom God taught us over the years about relationships with two young fraternity brothers that were on line with my cousin.
They were so receptive and open. I could definitely see my husband come alive as he shared with them. They had questions for me too. I came in to the room later.
So God had a great purpose in us being there at the family gathering.

Im doing well with my no-spend challenge. The hardest thing has been giving up the thrift store. Black Friday even extended to them.

Yesterday I told my husband that the no spend challenge was really starting to look good as a lifestyle change.
It has helped me see that it takes actual sacrifice to save money. And that I really have no need of over half the things I spend money on.

I have decided to go through with cooking the turkey we won at the raffle.
It is my first turkey. Im trying to decide now if Ill continue my fast all night into next morning.
I might not medically be able to.
Plus, I think the turkey will be good. I put olive oil, melted butter, salt, pepper, garlic, and Mrs. Dash on it.
But I have been fasting and praying like crazy for this latest abortion case going before the Supreme Court.
Ive been telling everyone who prays to pray for this latest case. My friends and brother thought I was pregnant. Lol.

High @Wynona hope your having a good day. I'm doing better, I had my mother die recently and my neighbor told me he didn't want me talking to him anymore than I have to. So it's been a little stressful. But my brother was miraculously healed and he was supposed to die. I'm going to the doctors next week to check on some dizziness and head pain I've been going thru so things are looking up and I'm doing better. Cheers.

I simply passed out asleep in the middle of the day after my walk.
Yesterday, my husband watched an HGTV show called Lakefront Bargain Hunt. The views of the large lakes were spectacular.
I felt like a little kid again. I would love to live by a lake one day.

It seems like our walk with God is continuing to discover you have so far to go.
I still pray to God as if he is distant at times. But He wants a personal relationship with me. Im growing in prayer and have a long way to go.
Sometimes Im like Martha and not Mary. Need to prioritize my connection to Jesus first.

I've been flourishing lately. It's been a great day.
My relationship with God is more personal and precious. Ive started doing home workouts again. I really enjoy the pilates type workouts.
Ive shifted from a journey of weight loss to more of a healthy lifestyle journey.
My no spend challenge continues to go well, as Im finding that money can serve us well in other places than me frittering it away here and there.
For dinner, Im making ground beef with taco seasoning, diced tomatoes, and spanish rice mixed in.
I really enjoy learning new recipes and health and fitness channels on YouTube.
