Yeah but He is still King on top of being all that.

When, what was his name? A King who chopped off his wifes head? (for cheating prolly, lol!)

Oh yeah, Henry the 8th! I'm Hen-er-ry the 8th I am, Hen-er-ry the 8th I am I am....
my wife was naughty so I chopped off her head now she henry's wife no more...

Ok here's a pop quiz for ya, lol.

You get granted a visit with Jesus and are taken up to the Throne room of Heaven and there is Jesus waiting to talk to you. Do you talk to Him like He is the King? Or like a Brother? Or like a spouse?

What do you do? What DO you do?!

I'm passing on this one, your getting weird on me

That depends.
What you might do is fall down like your dead.

That depends on what He does, as He has all authority in heaven and earth

John fell at His feet as though dead. Likely due to the overwhelming appearance Christ shows to him.
I suppose John fainted!

Rev 1
12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. 14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; 16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. 17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying [i]to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. 18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of [j]Hades and of Death. 19 [k]Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this. 20 The [l]mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the [m]angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands [n]which you saw are the seven churches.

Jesus revealed His divinity for a moment as He spoke the word and look how they reacted.

Betrayal and Arrest in Gethsemane

18 When Jesus had spoken these words, He went out with His disciples over the Brook Kidron, where there was a garden, which He and His disciples entered. 2 And Judas, who betrayed Him, also knew the place; for Jesus often met there with His disciples. 3 Then Judas, having received a detachment of troops, and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons. 4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that would come upon Him, went forward and said to them, “Whom are you seeking?”

5 They answered Him, “Jesus [a]of Nazareth.”

Jesus said to them, “I am He.” And Judas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them. 6 Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.

7 Then He asked them again, “Whom are you seeking?”

And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”

8 Jesus answered, “I have told you that I am He. Therefore, if you seek Me, let these go their way,” 9 that the saying might be fulfilled which He spoke, “Of those whom You gave Me I have lost none.”

10 Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.

11 So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?”

I noticed that before! When Jesus said, I am He...they felt something! Something...powerful, and scary and they were compelled backwards. Whoa.

I am a Gentile Christian. I do not relate to Jesus as my King but my Spouse. Jesus is the King of Israel. So, Jesus is a King, but not my King. I relate to Jesus as my Savior, Spouse, and Son of God (God's Son). The Kingship of Christ is not the case with Gentile Christians/Spouses.
I relate to Jesus as my Lord and Savior, if nothing else.

He is our brother and our friend but i don't think he's a spouse. God said in Jeremiah 3:14 “Return, faithless people,” declares the Lord, “for I am your husband. addressing His people who had gone astray. If Jesus said he was our husband/spouse please will you provide bible backup.

There are kings of the Gentiles though

Luke 22:25 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.

And of the LORD its said,

Jerm 10:7 Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.

The LORD of Jesus says

Psalm 2:6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

And Jesus to the LORD

Psalm 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

And the LORD to Jesus concerning the heathen/ Gentiles which are his inheritance

Psalm 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

He is King of kings

Psalm 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

O ye kings be now instructed

Psalm 2:10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

And even as Jesus has received of his Father he says

Rev 2:26-27 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

The King of kings, and on his heads were many crowns

Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Rev 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Rev 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

You really need to listen to Ronald on this... when Jesus returns, then His literal Kingdom will manifest over ALL nations upon this earth, and He will reign over them ALL. But maybe you've been wrongly taught to treat the 'kingdom of Israel' as something separate from Christianity, which is what pre-trib rapture dispensationalist churches wrongly teach.

There's not going to be a separate kingdom of Israel and a separate Church when Jesus returns. Both believing Israelites and believing Gentiles, together, will make up His future Kingdom. And... there will be Gentile priests and kings also under Lord Jesus's Kingdom of the future. God originally established the nations, and they will still exist, making up His future Kingdom on earth. Restored Israel will simply be the center of it.

This might be a bit embarrassing to you, but that you didn't know (or forgot) this verse is in the Bible is an indictment on fast food theology students. I will quote the verses just in Rev 19 to provide your bible backup.

7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.

8 Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.” (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.)

9 Then the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added, “These are the true words of God.”

By the way, the Jeremiah 3.14 is a reference to the Father as the husband of the nation of Israel.

Wife is here

Ephes 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

Ephes 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Husband here

2 Cr 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband,
that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

I'm not at all embarrassed. And I didn't forget that verse. But it is the Church who is the bride not individuals and even men are included in that. What do men think about being a bride?

That's what I said.

I was resisting asking the OP how he looked in a bridal gown. I now officially give in to temptation.

Thinking back on all those threads (by men, of course) concerning those verses requiring wives to be (and complaining about them not being) submissive to their husbands...

It's now us who are called to be submissive to Christ, and now it's Christ who loves us and was willing to lay down His life for us.
