I believe it was Paul who gave us the answer to the question as to those who don’t know, or who don’t care….Target audience: atheists, agnostics, non-Christians. In general, people who don’t care. (The subtitle of the video clip in post #14.) Experience tells me that, in addition to not caring, they probably don’t know - or know little about - what God has spoken.
2 Thess 1:6-10….
”This takes into account that it is righteous on God’s part to repay tribulation to those who make tribulation for you. 7 But you who suffer tribulation will be given relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels 8 in a flaming fire, as he brings vengeance on those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus. 9 These very ones will undergo the judicial punishment of everlasting destruction from before the Lord and from the glory of his strength, 10 at the time when he comes to be glorified in connection with his holy ones and to be regarded in that day with wonder among all those who exercised faith, because the witness we gave met with faith among you.”
There are two groups who undergo “the judicial punishment of everlasting destruction” on the day of Christ’s judgment….those who “do not know God”, because they don’t want to, for their own reasons……and those who know a little about God and his son, but who do not obey Christ’s teachings. There is no excuse for either.
God’s creation testifies to his existence…..his masterful and intelligent design is all around us….and we have God’s word to tell us how to live in this world ruled by the devil…..how to be “no part” of it, whilst still living in it. (1 John 5:19; John 18:36)
Not caring comes from self absorption…..being so focused on self, they see nothing beyond it. Everything is all about them…and what belongs to them.
I think that agnostics and non-Christians have more of a chance at becoming believers because a spiritual part of them is already activated.…..spirituality is like a muscle, unless it is exercised, it atrophies…..but even as your video demonstrates, there is something even in the atheist’s mind that is still seeking logical answers.
I think a lot of agnostics would like to believe, but are confused about what is truth.….and who to believe.
