Anyway, about placements, often whether it's on a bony area will make a difference; but then a lot of ppl choose to get bony areas tattooed, even though they know it will hurt more.

Ankle is often thought of as bony and therefore painful, although spine - especially a vertical design - can also hurt rather a lot.
