I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they are already DEEPLY entrenched in the Dem party.Next it will be legal for pedophiles and those who practice bestiality to indulge in their DISGRACEFUL and ABOMINABLE behavior.
Some people have such parties in their own homes. Do you want to outlaw it?
My wife has worked in the public schools for over 20 years. Her stories would curl your hair! We've spent trillions on that department and, as far as I can tell, our public schools have gotten worse.
You are rightYea, it is so "common" that Jesus never once mentioned it.
And in point of fact exposing children to these practices during their early developmental years changes how their brains develop. Being as these are developmental changes, they are life long, and result in changes in cognition, memory storage and retreaval, emotional processing, there's more!I think you're straining at a gnat here. The more private sex clubs a city allows, the more the things that go on there will be considered "acceptable" in modern society, and the more they are considered acceptable the more it will eventually spill out into the streets. This is just my point: Over-permissiveness in the name of preserving freedom will result in the moral disintegration of society, and don't look now but they are teaching our children in public schools from the earliest ages now not just to accept practices that our God describes as immoral, sinful and capable of sending someone to Hell if they give themselves to it, but they are training our children to endorse them. This is yet another case in point that things will not simply stay the same. They will go down the drain morally of there is nothing there to stop the momentum, and at the current time the church is most certainly not going to do the job. If the State does not, no one will.
Let's stop putting a gay face on this terrible disorder! The damnable practices in our schools are inculcating a generation with vanity, emptiness of values, character, principle, you name it!
Studying law I can say that document is considered the highest law of the land with other laws underneath it.
As far as the OP he is a pretender and not a true Christian. The OP only wants to serve himself not God. Many of those kind are coming here now for some reason, maybe Satan is sending them
Sorry to burst your bubble Nancy but speaking as one who has ministered to homosexuals who didn't want to be, I can assure you that God is quite capable of changing your mindset and giving you new life in Christ.Amen Rita,
Every one of us had "habitual sin" before coming to The Lord.! And, if others on here think that God will change your orientation, think again...doesn't happen that way, sexual orientation does not change. And please don't anyone start on that so called "reformative therapy"!
You will end up worse, the empty promises and feeling that you are less than normal will leave you drowning in a sea of shame. And, if you were fortunate enough to come out of that terrible type of therepy and have not offed yourself yet...run for the hills cause you are hated beyond sense...and the pithy saying"hate the sin, love the sinner" is bunk, just plain bunk. In my book, if one is gay (not bi!) the only choice they have is forced celibacy, and to depend on God's grace to keep you content and He will do that. If a gay marries a straight person, it is not fair at all to the either spouse. They go through the motions and sometimes will refuse to have sexual relations with the opposite sex spouse. So, no...orientation does NOT change. It is not that God couldn't but...He just does not do that! His grace is sufficient but, non believers do not understand that so, this is such a
conundrum. God help us ALL.
Sorry Rita, guess I sounded off here after replying
Private, competent, consenting adults should be able to engage in private behavior in the privacy of their own homes. Do you agree?
I wouldn't necessarily "support" it, nor would I attempt to use government to stop them from doing so.
If Christians want to use government to prevent sinful behavior, why stop at homosexuality?
Murder, bestiality, abortion, pedophilia, etc., are different than homosexuality in that they involve the victimization of an involuntary, innocent person. Not analogous.
Yes, but does that mean that we Christians are supposed to force non-believers to conform to our belief system? Should we, through the force of government, outlaw same-sex marriage, outlaw practicing in other religions, criminalize pre-marital sex, etc., etc., etc.?
a person is no more born gay than a person born as murderer, pedophile or any other sin.
next.............
That is not in dispute.
Do you want to use government to force non-believers to abstain from pre-marital sex, getting drunk, getting fat, engaging in homosexuality, worshiping Allah, etc.? I don't. What is the biblical basis for Christians to establish a totalitarian theocracy on the entire world?
We can not ‘force’ anyone to bend to our will. A person has to accept Christ on their own. As Christians we are to vote according to Christian morale convictions. A “vote to legalize same-sex marriage” is a vote against Christian morale convictions. My first vote would be to remove government from the marriage business. Yes, I would vote to legalize same-sex marriage.
Should we Christians force non-Christians to bend to our will? Should we outlaw mosques? What's worse, engaging in homosexuality or worshipping another God?
If it’s a theocracy then you should be against it since you don’t want to live under a theocracy.Yes, but does that mean that we Christians are supposed to force non-believers to conform to our belief system? Should we, through the force of government, outlaw same-sex marriage, outlaw practicing in other religions, criminalize pre-marital sex, etc., etc., etc.?
The Constitution says “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.“.Yes, but does that mean that we Christians are supposed to force non-believers to conform to our belief system? Should we, through the force of government, outlaw same-sex marriage, outlaw practicing in other religions, criminalize pre-marital sex, etc., etc., etc.?
Then you need to remember that Jesus said you are either for me or against me. There is no neutral ground.
That does not mean we hate sinners for their sin, but we can speak out and oppose all laws that would sanction sin.
You couldn't be more wrong. The mindset behind same sex marriage is the same mindset that allows 6 year old girls to compete in beauty pageants. The same mindset that allows drag queens to read to your grandchildren in local libraries. The same mindset that has liberal teachers and politicians forbid you from confirming your 5 year old son in his male status. The same mindset that takes you to court and prosecutes you for refusing to call a woman "he". I could go on.As I said in my OP, stealing and murder adversely affects an innocent third-party, wherein same-sex marriage only affects the same-sex couple and they enter into voluntarily.
