the immortal soul and eternal punishment

“their worm dieth not” = “the immortal soul” = you think of your soul as an immortal worm?

“The fire is not quenched” = “eternal punishment” = a much better, and a more sound, concept than eternal punishing in my mind, but do you make a distinction between “eternal punishment” and “eternal punishing”?

Jehovah said you will die, He defined death in His word beyond any doubt which I posted for you sir. satan stated you will not die, I am going to side with Jehovah on this Faith, I believe you die. If you don't why did Jesus have to be sacrificed, and why the resurrection? We will never agree on this.

christ’s body crucified and his shed blood accomplished the redemption

only his body died

Jehovah does not torture people eternally sir, that is not justice. Life or death is what He offers. Life is available to all, if they simply choose it. But choosing life means you agree to the requirements of such, namely obedience.

Jesus as a human died, he returned to his prehuman life Faith. I agree that his flesh and blood is the redemption, and that was what was sacrificed in our behalf, and that he still retains his memory of his life spent here as all resurrected ones will. So I guess we agree here, unless you think we do not.

Simple truth, eloquently stated.

“Eloquence is vehement simplicity.” - Richard Cecil

Amen.

“I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac and Jacob, to give them.”

(Deuteronomy 30:19-20, NASB)

Life (the blessing) and death (the curse).

Choose.

God wants - even commands - us to choose life.

Obey or disobey.

.
Soul began appearing in the Bible in the book of Genesis by the Hebrew
word nephesh (neh'-fesh) which isn't unique to human life. Its first
appearance is at Gen 1:20-21 in reference to aqua creatures and winged
creatures; again at Gen 1:24 as terra creatures; viz: cattle, creepy crawlies,
and wild beasts; and again in Gen 2:7 as the human creature; and yet again
at Gen 9:10 to classify every living thing aboard Noah's ark.

God has a soul too. (Lev 26:11, Lev 26:30, Judg 10:16, Isa 42:1, Jer 32:41,
and Zech 11:8)

Soul is somewhat ambiguous but basically refers to consciousness, self
awareness, and individuality. It's sometimes a reference to one's heart, e.g.
Gen 34:3, and to the core of one's being, e.g. Gen 27:4.

The human soul is very durable. Although the body can be killed by man, the
soul can only be killed by the hand of God.

Matt 10:28 . . Fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill
the soul; but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in
Hell.

Everlasting life or death sir, that is what God offers. Do you have a cross reference Bible? Mine cross refs it to Rev 20:10 showing those unrighteous ones will be cast into the lake of fire, do you agree Faith?

“When people patiently do what is good, and so pursue the quest for glory and honour and immortality, God will give them the life of the age to come.”

If only his body died then it’s misleading to say he died for you.

Christ’s body crucified. He didn’t die for you. Only his body died for you.

Christ crucified. He died for you.

If only his body died then only his body was dead. He was never dead. He was always alive. “Jesus lives!” is hollow.

Jesus Christ was alive. Jesus Christ was dead. Jesus Christ was made alive again. “Jesus lives!” is triumph over death.

God died for our salvation

In that case, the immutable God would be mutable after all. (A fact noted and pointed out by Protestant trinitarians who reject the notion that God died.)

If God were to die then everyone and everything would cease to exist. (And even if for some unknown and unknowable reason it didn’t, would you want to live in a world without God?)

The one God is immortal. He doesn’t die. Ever.

A human person - “Jesus the Galilean” (from my daily reading in Matthew 26 yesterday) - died for our salvation. (As we’ve discussed previously, your theology prohibits speaking of Jesus as a human person.)

GOD DIED

Satan’s desire?

Whether it is or not, it’s a complete impossibility for such a fate to befall the God of Israel. He is the living God. There has never been, nor will there ever be, a time when he is dead.

A dead deity in scripture is nothing but an idol.

fully God (divine)
Fully man (human)
In one person
The one person of Jesus died for our salvation

I didn’t see it. Was it addressed to me? What post # is it? Is it in this thread or another?
